there's a fun thing you can do with imperial federation. Where you go down fascist path, complete "unite the anglosphere" down the monarchy bit, invade and fully annex all US cores. Retake the commonwealth. Form the "Dominion of North America", giving Canada all US territory you occupy and coring it. Then you do imperial federation, and since you formed the dominion of north america, you get all the US cores too. THEN, you have the option to form the EU on top of that. Can only be done with fascist UK though after imperial federation.

Correction: canada only accepts if you have more factories than them. So you need to do the imperial federation events BEFORE you form the Dominion of North America with the decision.

Recently, I played Germany, and it was the first time I did so after the release of NSB. I went fascist and before NSB, I would usually not declare on Poland and let the Soviets defeat them so I could get cores Poznan and Katowice, then I would immediately invade the Soviets since they always took horrendous losses. Only then would I declare on the Allies. I tried doing that in my recent game, but the Soviets were doing nothing. Which was odd since going after Poland, Romania, the Baltic states, and Finland were some of the first things they usually do after the Great Purge is over. So I waited and waited until it was 45'. Then I tagged switched to the Soviets to see what they were doing and they didn't even finish the Great Purge. The time since the last purge focus was around two years. So I then forced them to finish the purge and waited a year for them to declare on Poland. Then they took another year to defeat Poland. Then I finally declared war on them. I literally sat from 36' to 47' building up and doing nothing else. Also the Great Patriotic War was against Iraq, and France went democratic but since I didn't invade them, communism slowly built up until they flipped, unlocked the communist branch, and left the Allies sometime in 48' or 49'. By then, the game ran so poorly that I just decided to end my campaign.

My favorite schizo scenario was when everybody left the allies after WW2, Poland formed full Intermarium which led to them fighitng USA for some reason, which resulted in Japan winning in Asia and led to WW3 with Intermarium ahd Japan murdering Soviets. From earlier phenomenona, all the dominions have left the UK despite the latter staying democratic, France had three civil wars, Italy had a civil war that kept facists in power and Switzerland casually formed Alpine Protectorate wihtout shooting a single bullet
