Not really sure if you invaded Portugal in game, or if you were already there, you see when in real life Napoleon invaded portugal for not closing its harbors to england, the portuguese royal family escaped to brazil, and a english general took over temporary control of the territory of portugal. It was also the first and only time that a capital of a european country was set outside of europe, since the capital of Portugal at that time was Rio de Janeiro were the royal family took refuge.
