Kind of a cop out to say next week we should know more about South Africa, UK, US, Europe elections. Obviously we will! I think in each case the pro-NATO or pro-Israel politicians have become less popular.

These western nations geopolitical stature is pretty clear regardless of who is elected. Western geopolitical rhetoric and policy’s will stay the same.

@@crhu319 not really they threaten to do so and talked about it but never really did. Obama and Trump’s, as different as their domestic policies were, foreign policy is a lot more similar than most people think. For example Obama criticized allies for “free-riding” during the 2011 Libya War. Obama’s Secretary of Defense Robert Gates said NATO faced a “dismal” future unless the Europeans did more to protect their own security. Both criticized NATO for not doing enough Trump just took a set above but both do support NATO and recognize the importance. While they have a different routes to go about their foreign policy, the means to an end is the same. Trump made a big deal about the near peer advisory China. Well Obama’s “Asia pivot”, called for beefing up the U.S. diplomatic and military presence in the region to manage Beijing’s newfound strength. Which is also what Trump did the only thing he did more was adding sanctions which Obama did threaten to do. Both provided weapons and aid to Ukraine and to Saudi Arabia to use in Yemen. Both were subject to offensive action policy in the Middle East. Foreign policy research institute published a really good paper on this exact topic just took a few examples from it. A good read I recommend, reason I don’t compare Trump and Biden is bc Biden’s foreign policy is the same as Obamas. The only real difference was some economic policies, climate change, energy dependency, and some treaties. Including pulling out of the Paris climate deal and the Iranian nuclear deal. Which was set in place to make sure Iran didn’t make nuclear weapons unfortunately it was a shitty deal and allowed for Iran to make nuclear weapons. One of many reasons why Trump pulled out but also by pulling out he’s allowing them to make nuclear weapons. When you start to look into it it’s pretty bizarre how similar they were.

It can be forgotten that the Russians will distribute nuclear bombs to countries, they are not crazy.

tactical nukes their soldiers control is quite possible in a few countries (Cuba, maybe Venezuela)

They did it in 1961. At Bay of Pigs Cuban MAJORS had battlefield control of tactical nuclear shells to take out landing craft.

Putin actually debating Karaganov on stage at the conference suggests he is at least sending the signal to the West.

It was indeed significant about Karaganov. He didn't take Putin by surprise. That encounter had to have been planned.

Genocide,,, yes, no doubt the most massive, deadliest, all encompassing one in all of history,,, if political theatrics is what defines severity. Apart from that CH is at least giving an analysis on possible causalities, based on something not hyped to absurdity.

Genocide is a legal term now. And the law was designed to stop it in its early stages. Thus it's about intent and certainty not about the numbers. It's hard to imagine more certainty than a belief you attribute directly to God....

@@crhu319 If results don't matter, then it's not that different from a thought crime. Political theatrics undermine the reason for the law, which will only result in it's dilution. If by "God", and you're referring to Amalek, you should read up that story, and what it's symbolized since it was written. (it's been used numerous times) It starts with a call for genocide, and ends with the children of Amalek, becoming the children of Israel,,, which in the context of the time (especially when considering who, and how despised the Amalek's were by all) is a call for genocide turned inclusion/assimilation. In case of Nazi Germany, it was forgiveness. Some may say the reference is wrong, because the "children of Amalek" in this particular case, could just as well be interpreted as "children of Israel gone astray",,, but we'll see when the dust is settled. Personally think there's a lot more hype around the whole conflict, than is warranted (but that's just my pov)
