Last week, Channel 4 News was in Iran covering the election and before leaving on Saturday, we interviewed Khalid Qaddoumi - the political representative of Hamas in Tehran.
(Subscribe: bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)
Hamas seized full control of Gaza in 2007 after winning the election there the year before. It gets military, financial and diplomatic support from Iran.
The British government has proscribed Hamas as a terrorist organisation since 2001. We asked him whether Hamas was willing to release all the hostages taken during its October 7th attack. This is the extended version of interview.

If I follow the interviewer's logic, if an army was to occupy, for example, Britain, and the British dared to resist occupation with violence, that occupying army could massacre as many Brits as they pleased and the fault would lie with the British. You do not get it, sorry. If you attack the occupying army, there police force == its resistances. If you attack civilians its terror. See the difference? Good. Now lets address the massacre, ok? If you fight in an urban environment and your enemy dose not wear uniforms or identifying marks ... more civilians die then they have to. That is in this case not the fault of the IDF - its Hama´s fault. If you go and dig in in a town knowing your enemy has an overwhelming advantage in air and artillery power - you calculate that the town will be gone after the fight. If you are "defending your people" - you make sure there are safe zones for them and inform your enemy about those + hold yourself accountable for NOT using those safe zones. If you don´t, you are sacrificing your people.

@@joshuakalele5717The answers to the questions are so obvious that they are not challenging in terms of an intention to solicit a profound answer but only in negative terms of being accusatory in tone and provocative in that they😮 often reflected a pro-Zionist propaganda point. The host to his credit does not usually interrupt the guest, and that is a rarity for corporate media. The bottom line is that what was meticulously laid out recently before the ICG -- the right to self-determination (to form/maintain a state) belongs exclusively to the Palestinians, and the right of indigenous people to resist by methods of their choice the oppression of a violent colonial-settler force and its occupying army belongs only to the Palestinians. There were no innocent Israelis under the age of 18 harmed on Oct. 7, 2023. Upon turning 18 all Israelis are required to serve 2 - 3 years in the occupying army. The concert was held between two kibbutzes, which are frontier outposts for organizing land theft and colonization. All the Israelis except those under 18 were either active-duty military or reservists who knew very well that they were stealing from and exploiting Palestinian labor and land. They chose to raise children under 18 to follow their horrid moral example on stolen land. Hamas carried out a well-planned an executed military operation designed to forestall the all-out Israeli offensive that had been signalled by its actions at Al-Aqsa Mosque, itd intensificstion of attacks for two years on Palestinians, and its Abrahamic accords with the exploitative ruling classes of neighboring Arab states. Hamas' goal was not just to rape or kill on some spree but to save its people and to gain hostages for a prisoner swap. Many of the Israelis killed that day were dispatched by IDF forces firing on vacating Hamas members from Apache helicopters in an application of the Hannibal protocol to avoid Israeli hostages being taken alive and used to gain the release of Palestinians in jail. The Ashkenazi Jews who founded Zionism have only on average about 8% Semitic DNA and that comes from intermarriage with sephardic Jews fleeing tge Spanish Inquisition into the Central European lands of the Askenazi homeland, Kazaria. There is also archaelogical evidence of monarchy-led top-down conversion of the Askenazi to Judaism not long after tge ruse if Islam. The Ashkenazi have tge most negligible biological tie to the indigenous people of ancient Israel and modern Palestine. The Ashkenazi manipulated Arab Jews and other non-European Jews to come to Israel in order to use them as laborers, and they have discriminated against them ever since despite their being the only semitic Jews in Palestine. In 1900 only 6% of the semitic population of Palestine was Jewish, and, based on centuries of peaceful co-existence there with Muslims and Christians, those Jews often joined Arabs in struggle against the supremacist Askenazi settlers flooding the land in the early part of the 20th century.

Why do pro Palestinians IGNORE Oct 7th? When you raise it , they immediately start talking about 1948 like killing Israeli women and children in their homes was a justified response to Israeli 'oppression'. Hamas could have just attacked Israeli installations but chose to terrorize families AGAIN. Now they complain when Israel is terrorizing Palestinian families? Palestinians are NOT innocent in all of this. Every war with Israel over the past 75 years was started by them while they have foolishly rejected their own state repeatedly when offered. Israel's action in Gaza today is 75 years of frustration with evil Palestinian terrorist attacks SO STOP ACTING LIKE PALESTINIANS ARE INNOCENT VICTIMS IN THIS. Can you stop interrupting people you interview? Do your job properly or give it to someone who will. You do your viewers a disservice by not letting a guest finish answering just because you don’t agree. I’ve heard the western narrative over and over for 5 months, I want to hear FULL answers from this guest now. “Journalists” always making interviews about them; trying to get a pat on the head. Make a mental note for your follow ups, don’t interrupt. Sensationalism and interruptions are such bad journalism, and a bad look. We know nothing about this group, this is serious and I want to hear this for once. Ask follow ups only when your guest is DONE SPEAKING. For fks sake.

I got frustrated so many times, cause I wanted to hear his FULL answers about many things. I've realised it's not black, white or grey as so many media outlets say. They showed Putin allllllll the time. Are they afraid to cut him off? It reminds me of the interview with the Iranian FM... Is it that news outlets think all other humans are so stupid and terrible judges of character, or can't spot verbal nonsense? I want to see a full interview with this man of at least 2 hours. I'm not a Kanye fan but him putting his fingers in his ears and saying lalalalala, did what is was intended to do. You can even have tea while talking idk. KZbin has history, so if I stop I can come back. Anyway. Anyone knows if he's been interviewed elsewhere (longer)?

blaming the indiginous population for fighting for their basic human rights, while expecting them to just give up everything and to continue living under a permanent oppressive regime
@itsjustdamian
@itsjustdamian 2 ай бұрын
Indiginous population? You realise the land was called Judea for hundreds of years before palestine ever existed. It was stolen from the jews by the romans and named palestine. So technically it is the jews land if anybodys and they are the indiginous people predating palestine by hundreds of years. Using this logic of its palestinians land and its being occupied implies you are saying "they were here first", but if you want to play that game then no, sorry, Judea was there first and that belonged to the jews. Simple as that. The jews have more right to their homeland that was stolen from them than the palestinians do and the jews deserve a place to be safe after the holocaust, which hamas has literally said it wants to do again and again. People march in the streets saying gas the jews, and its people like you that want Hamas to have a state and have even more power to kill even more jews until they are all dead. Hamas pays people to kill jews. If hamas surrendered tomorrow, there would be no more killing and there would be a palestinian state. If israel surrendered tomorrow there would be another holocaust. Hamas hides under hospitals and stops its citizens from getting to safety whilst Israel drops millions of flyers and makes thousands of phone calls warning people to evacuate. No country has ever dropped flyers warning civilians they are going to be attacking a terrorist group that lives under them. Its literally in hamas charter to never stop till every jew is dead. The only reason they are backpeddling now is because they are loosing, but you can guarantee if they were granted a state then they would kill every jew if they could. Im sorry but if one side wants peace and the other sides charter calls for the death of all your people.. then its obvious which side needs to go. Israel cant stop until hamas is stopped. Israel is literally the only place arabs can live freely. If there was a palestinian state almost anyone from the west who entered it would be killed from sharia law.

Where should Hamas fighters fight the IDF from? The middle of the ocean? The IDF have come into Gaza, into an urban area, they are fighting within the civilian population, is Hamas just going to let them? Also in all of the videos published by Hamas, all the attacks against the IDF have been in empty streets, evacuated areas. This notion of human shields infuriates me so much.

According to this interview of the Hamas Representative - Hamas was ready to release the hostages on day one (2:27), even without any deal (2:48), but bc of Netanyahu who converted the whole scenario into a dramatic issue (2:50), they wouldn't?! Now please, where is the logic? 1200 Israelis were killed, 4500 injured, 238 kidnapped in one day without talking about the thousands of rockets sent into Israel and they were ready to release on the same day all hostages without any deal?! Why take them on the first place?! No logic behind the actions and words...

All credit to you for holding the interview and allowing the world to hear the voice of Hamas itself.
