Sometime ago I lived in FL with a auto garage on the corner owned by Palestinians. I asked the owner to explain the troubles in the M East to me. He had 8 sons and told me his home and land that was his family's for generations was taken by Israel and they had no say. He was very nice and charged me very little for repairs because he knew I was alone taking care of a sick mom. I never had that happen by any other garage. Sometimes they never charged me. I never forgot. 20 years ago. I felt sad for them.

@michellenorris8471 it was a sad thing for your family but I am old enough to remember that and was relieved when peace talks started. Just a side story. I was dating an attorney from Boston and when his uncle died I went to the funeral and two IRA soldiers stood weapon and all at his coffin. At the time I did not know who they were so I asked Arthur who are these people with faces covered soldiers? He shush me. Later after we broke up I found out his uncle was a collector of funds from all the Irish in Boston and ran money monthly to the IRA. They sent an IRA honor guard to the wake. Needless to say our relationship never worked out because he kept too many secrets from me. Uncle Frank Moriarty got a royal send off.

There are Muslim Israeli families that have been murdered on oct. 7 by hamas - with the crusader-style argument of "if they were just, they will go to heaven". And again: the Palestinian population is 10x than what it was. When Israel allowed some 20k Gazans to work in Israel, it was precisely to allow them to improve their economic status, and to *not* make Gaza a prison. Well guess what, that's all over now.

what about kulinski and breaking points did you think as disappointing on this conflict? on tyt, i do agree with you, despite cenk's passionate plea for the palestinians, on piers morgan. but, so far i've found kulinski and breaking points to be pretty fair...but, i dunno, i might've missed something. what do you think of the hill rising? that robby guy's a sh!t, but the other anchor, Briahna Joy Gray has really been a champion on speaking for the palestinian side...also Sabby Sabs.
@b.bigdaddy Жыл бұрын
@@isuriadireja91 They keep saying that they are pro-Palestinians freedoms, but all within the Israeli paradigm which is sadly entirely based on the Zionist narrative, one that is super racist and exclusionary. For instance, the constant reassurance that the Hamas attack on October 7 was a terrorist attack and that Hamas doesn't represent most Palestinians, let alone Gazans. As a Palestinian myself who is NOT ideologically aligned with Hamas, they are the only body on the field that have defended us, the only body that has made actions for our liberation. Fateh or the PA never bothered to do anything for us since Arafat's assassination in 2004! And I'll let you in on something, kindly google Hamas' charter "preferably in Arabic" and translate it on google translate or an app of your choice, you will not find one single mention of it planning to annihilate all Jews, not in its 1988 charter, and not in the updated 2017 charter! All this raising another question; why should we believe ANYTHING the Israeli government says at face value? They've been the worst liars we've ever encountered in our lives. Dr. Ilan Pappe had an interview with Al Jazeera not so long ago and he specifically said "Hamas is not a terrorist organization, it is a liberation movement", and you won't hear a peep about this on any English-speaking media!.. Did you see the old Israeli lady leaving Gaza and how she on her own will decided to turn back and shake her captors' hand? What did CNN headline that event "Hostage: I was living in hell" while she went out on Israeli public TV saying they fed us what they eat, and had a doctor come over to our place a number of times a day! Ever heard of Ahmed Manasra, who's been detained since 2012 when he was 12-13 years old for "throwing rocks", detained in solitary confinement where he grew autistic & losing his hearing? Go check his interrogation video online, see the language and treatment for yourself. This "Jewish" state (which has nothing to do with Judaism, matter of fact it dragged the name of Jews the world over through the mud with all its actions in the past 75 years) is nothing but a continuation of settler colonialism, but since the pre-conceived notions that Muslims/Arabs/Others are savages and barbaric then it's okay made it pass, not to mention the atrocities of the Holocaust made it incredibly difficult for anyone to even question their actions and motives. What state "self-defense" equates to carpet bombing Gaza, an entire concentration camp, for the sake of killing militants they couldn't foresee their plans with all the technological might and support from the biggest former colonialists? Is that even anywhere near rational?! I know I wrote too much, but if you're up for a discussion, please read "The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine" by Dr. Pappe himself; "They Must Go" by Meir Kahane and "The Invention of the Jewish People" by Dr. Shlomo Sand.. then we may start

Today? Ceasefire now. The future? Full Israeli citizenship for everyone from the river to the see. While that may seem untenable, I don't think Israel realizes how exceedingly untenable their current situation is, given their geopolitical realities.
@melissagreye8445 Жыл бұрын
@warmlycalculated that is not going to happen, Jewish people in Israel will not put themselves as a minority group especially with antisemitism in Muslim communities. They would be putting themselves at risk for persecution. All they have to do is look at how Arab Christians are treated in Egypt, Iraq Syria etc.
@warmlycalculated390 Жыл бұрын
@@melissagreye8445 Actually, that's what will happen if they *don't* stop this barbarity. Thank you all for a very intelligent conversations that brought calmness to my heart after the crazy media reports and the destruction and killing we are witnessing in Gaza. As a Palestinian who grew up outside of Palestine, I never hated Jews, just hated the Israeli Government Atrocities against civilian Palestinians. My mother told us many stories about the killing that took place in 1948, and how the had to evacuate with her extended family and left their home, and land on the outskirts of Jerusalem. My mother lived on the hope of going back, yet she passed away and her dream never came true. Now I understand from Dr Ilan Pappe that it was part of the colonization process to take the land without people. Its sad to see that one day as the Palestinians resistance grow, what would happen to the civilian Jews again. In the middles east as far as history remember, jews were part of our culture living safely and happily, we never had the west hate for Jews or anti-antisemitism, maybe bcs we are cousins. I believe this Zionist would prove to be the worst idea ever created in modern time, and will be the cause of the worst disastrous end to Jews in Palestine. Just see that Palestinian population exceeds that of colonist as of today.

One day, while our class was in the library, one of the boys slipped out and went outside where he lay down on the ground beneath the library window (which was open because there was no air conditioning then). A second boy, who was in on the prank, began yelling that the first had fallen out of the window. As expected, pandemonium ensued but the librarian, who had been there for years, quickly got everything under control. I think Congress could use a few school librarians.

The diff between palestine and other areas is that the brutality is supported actively by the west, which when addressing others take a moral stand The elephant in the room was not addressed. Without the carte blanche support by he west Israel would not go this far, and could easy be brought to heel? So what is the force that keeps this uncondotional support live that Biden and Sunak found it necessary to personally visit Israel? What can change this scenario? I believe an increase in ground support and an impact on the voter base could help...hopefully in another 10 years we could see a solution after another couple of such incidents with multiplied casualities.... The UK had no right to sell Palestine’s land to Jews since the Palestine was not the UK’s colony. If the UN want to resolve this illegally sold land and made these people without the living conditions as human, the UN must give the land that was petitioned in 1948 back to Palestine, and declare that Palestine is a State, not a territory.

Prof. Pappe describes very well the implications of heavy trauma. These are callousness on one side and protectmechanismes according to the former perpetrators, in the hope "we do everything (!) that this will never happen again to us". This will be passed along to the next generation. This implicates acting like the overwhelmingly experienced former perpetrator the NAZIS.

This acting from a traume standpoint can only be changes slowly by later generations, but in the current situation it can only and must immediately be stopped from the outside.
