Israel's incredible Iron Dome has saved thousands of lives - here's how it works

While Israel recently marked the first anniversary of the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack that sparked the ongoing war, dozens of rockets continue to be fired daily from Lebanon and, less frequently, from Gaza into the country.
The Israeli military estimates that over a year of conflict, close to 26,000 rockets were fired against Israel, with 13,200 coming from Gaza and 12,400 from Lebanon.

Between Israel’s air defenses, Iron Dome (short range interception), David’s Sling (Medium range interception), Arrow (Long Range interception), and Trophy (extreme short range inception from RPGs fired at tanks) many lives have been saved. It is also a test bed for all Western Missile defense systems. With US moving THADD batteries to Israel now, the fireworks in the sky’s of Israel will be intense, but just imagine the damage caused without these systems.

Try use Patriot PAC3, it shoots down most things... but costs about 4M $ per interceptor vs Irom Dome that costs 50K or David Sling with 700K interceptor price tag (source Google)... but anyway eventually you must attack your enemy, having a good missile defense is a tactical advantage, not a strategy

Isreal, can also calculate the exact location to the street, of where the missle was launched from..which ends up getting blown up anyhow..Arrow 1 2 and 3 (cupids arrow,) ICBM destroyer..The Iron Beam is coming, Star wars stuff..will be used for defence, but in time will be added to Fighter Jets for offense..

They still have not used the iron beam that can eliminate missiles and drones with accuracy and with the speed of light! Whatever happened to it???! Iron dome been overcomed by the overwhelming barrage of attacks from all angles and we all know that Iran won't stop at nothing to beat the iron dome. The laser beam needs to be implemented before Iran finds better ways to attract. Make no mistake about it, they will find a better technology to jam the iron dome and make it useless. Timing is critical!!!
