How are these vids not getting even more views?? As an American guy, I feel like most of what I know about Iraq has to do with war. It's so powerful- and wonderful- to see typical Iraqi people living their normal lives. These videos are so educational AND entertaining! Many thanks.

Here from r/Iraq . Hope you enjoyed your visit but that was actually dangerous. You'd probably end up in a really bad situation if you went a bit south and mentioned that you were Israeli. Anyways I think it's very rare for a foreigner to be spotted in Iraq , that's why they were very interested in you .
@theSalukie3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, its very uncommon to find a westerner in Iraq. I couldn't leave the Kurdish autonomous region anyway (visa issues) so I couldn't go very south. I know its a dangerous, but that's what this channel is about, the fearless Jew exploring Islamic countries.

Interesting video and I think this is the 3rd video I have seen. Fear is a limitation people live with and how freeing is when one challenges the boundaries set by assumptions. What surprises me is though some of the comments of people who still insist on thinking negatively about these people despite their hospitality, kindness and welcoming you to their country. I suppose there are people who are genuinely afraid due to misconceptions and are willing to change their minds once their misconception is proven otherwise while there are those who simply feel comfortable with the idea they (the bad guys) vs us (the good guys). It was both educational as living in a western country I saw the worse of Iraq and interesting video as it shows beautiful attractions. Hopefully more people would embark on "getting to know others" trips like this :)
@theSalukie3 жыл бұрын
You mean the 3rd video you've ever seen on KZbin? wow that's crazy... Anyway, I agree with you. People like to stick to their presumptions and prejudice. My videos will keep be in the "getting to know others" style so no worries :)
