You can discover the top places to visit in Istanbul through these maps. You may find the most popular sightseeing places and their locations.
1st Section of the Video is about Istanbul Old City (Sultanahmet)
Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar, Suleymaniye Mosque and Chora Church are the top sightseeing places in the Old City. The first part of the video tells you about the history of these places while showing you the locations.
2nd Section of the Video is about Beyoglu District (Karakoy, Galata, Taksim)
Karakoy (Istanbul Cruise Port), Galata, Istiklal Street and Taksim Square are the most popular sights in the new city of Istanbul. Uskudar is another popular neighborhood on the Asian Side of Istanbul. It's a very old settlement. Its old name is Chrysopolis and final battle of the civil wars during the Tetrarchy period of the Roman Empire took place in here. Constantine the Great defeated Licinius and became the sole ruler of the Roman Empire. Then he founded Constantinople on the European Side of Istanbul. (In modern day Sultanahmet area).
Uskudar District is famous for its local restaurants and old Ottoman Mosques as well as its cozy neighborhoods. There is Kuzguncuk, Beylerbeyi and Cengelkoy neighborhoods to see. You can watch the flow of local life in these areas. You can visit tea gardens and eat the delicious local food. Some of the best local restaurants and cafes of Istanbul are located in these areas.
You may find more information on our website IstanbulClues.com You may also download the free Istanbul Tourist Maps as PDF files from this blog post: istanbulclues....
Most of the maps are based on Google Maps and modified by Istanbul Clues to explain the exact location of the places. One of the map is belong to Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. Since the tourist maps about Istanbul are not sufficient in detail, I made some changes on them. I thank the copyright holders for making it possible for me to create a useful content for you.

It's not "Spice Bazaar", and it's not "Egyptian Bazaar": In Turkish it's called "Corn Market" (Mısır Çarşısı). So named because it was the grain market during Ottoman times. As it still was to an extent until recently. Why does a Turk have to repeat Orientalist stereotypes? And the Vyzas story is only a myth, and your pronunciation of Greek names are way off. A little more consideration, please, for all the people who have lived here for many centuries.

Thank you for your wonderful information, Mr. Umit. Apparently, you claim that the information on the original site of the Spice Bazaar or on the website of the Turkish Ministry of Tourism or Wikipedia is incorrect. It's the first time I've heard the term "Corn Bazaar". You could at least cite sources for your claims. Of course, the founding story of Istanbul, which is related to Byzas, is a legend. Much of the information from the ancient Greek period is based on legends. Ephesus has a similar founding story and these need to be told. The words pronounced in the video are all in English and are correct. If you open the history documentation of channels such as the BBC and History Channel, you will see all the names pronounced this way.
