(I’m a ISTJ) I absolutely agree with Fi when comes to a stone faced reaction. A lot of people think that I’m not that happy and that I’m mad/irritated/annoyed or just show no emotions, but generally I do have feelings and I do care about people.

HEY as an ISTJ, I'm really grateful for this video of yours!! Really glad to find such a thorough video on my type with the general info on the cognitive functions included. Sincerely appreciate your work, and I felt like leaving a big comment on each of the parts from your video as I rarely see long personal comments under ISTJ videos. 1. Firstly, concerning Si, I was surprised to hear about the "funeral mentality" as it's both so specific and so relatable: at some point, moved by a book, I suddenly found out that I kinda want other people to remember me in some way, be it my friends, ex friends, groupmates from the uni. I don't like being in the center of attention, but I got.. emotional, to say the least, at the thought I'd be completely forgotten by the people I had contact with. Secondly, remembering random insignificant events that wouldn't be marked this way by other people is so true. Though I'd say, such memories - I'm SO susceptible to nostalgia - are usually stirred by physical things like sensations, smells, sounds. There are so many insignificant things in every day life that can make me think of what I was up to last year at this exact time, and normally I wouldn't be dwelling on it in another time of the year. Talking about planners: I THIRVE on organizing my calendar. Planning things that will be 100% executed is my favorite activity. Also, you got me with the fitbit band - mine is a gift of my dear friends from 3 years ago and I wear it everyday. 2. I absolutely love how you talked about Te!! Having an ideal of the leader and not taking the said position because you think you're not qualified enough, but you're probably objectively the best person for this position out of the group - GIRL. Ultimately exposed. YES. In one of your other videos on ISTJs you said that ISTJs may complain about their bosses, and then if they themselves take charge, they won't complain much as it's them who are now responsible for the stuff and who can make everything the right way. It does require more.. boldness?? Assertiveness? to take the leading role. I'm really trying to embrace this quality of mine because, as experience shows, I'm good at managing, but I always be like "nobody wants to lead.. okay, then I'll do it, I guess". I'm trying to be firmer and more certain about leading now, e x a c t l y because I know I can do stuff the right way! And I won't complain then! 3. The part about Fi made so much stuff clearer for me. I now see how I tend to fall into that Fi "trap" when I'm not feeling well, becoming so passive and locked IN myself, while I feel the best - like I'm coming home, yes - when I use Te. Though you're so right about the "moral compass" that Fi gives to ISTJs. A common stereotype about ISTJs is that they're stone cold (thanks for putting that stone pic btw skjsdks) and always business like. Many people see me as a person who never cries, but guys!! There ARE feelings!! They're just not in the surface!!! Not expressing much doesn't ultimately equal to not feeling anything. Also, being usually unimpressed is very true, not showing any distinguished non-verbal signs about others is true. Many people assume I'm angry or annoyed or /insert any other negative emotion/ but I'm just... I just don't anything to smile about atm? I smile when I really feel like doing so?? Funny how the absence of a smile became the presence of immediate indignance. 4. Regarding Ne, I'd say I like adding some novelty to my everyday life but it's just not that grand. I can make a new route home. I can choose to have another set of exercises for the same muscle group in the gym. I may do my homework in a different sequence. I'm not trying to find adventures, I don't feel the need to do so, but I do make small changes that make me happy and refreshed. However, I admit I hate improvising and I must be extremely blind to the opportunities arising around me regardless of the sphere of life. If I'm going to a new restaurant/cafe, I prefer to look through the menu and choose what I'd try at home, otherwise I'd feel to hectic trying to make up my mind in the restaurant/cafe itself. Sending appreciation for the video once again :"""")))))

My mom's an ISTJ. She's very responsible and detail oriented and as an introvert, she sometimes likes to do things independently. I think she's has good balance between Te and Fi, it's kind of 60-40. My grandmother is actually ESTJ so I could tell the difference between them. They both use Si and Te, but my grandmother is more Te and my mom is more Si.

I’m really glad you make these videos. There’s such a big catalog for each personality type in your channel, and it keeps on growing. Thank you for the content.

I find ISTJ’s easiest to type, and in abundance. I understand the necessity for this type and am sometimes envious of the self guidant systems they so naturally have

Thanks, I found this quite helpful and relatable. When I’m at my best as an ISTJ it closely matches your description of leaning into the TE, and occasionally it’s fun to dabble in NE. Me at my worst is absolutely hitting the FI accelerator. Great, clear, and well-researched info. Thank you!

So, I use the TE function or stoicism in order to help control my emotions, or mt FI function. Because my feelings are so great, I have found stoicism incredibly helpful and reacting in a more logical patient and professional manner. The issue with that, I have found, is that the mask of stoicism is often interpreted as lack of caring. And so now I am trying to find an in between, between reacting with stoicism and professionalism to being able to show people that I do care through certain expressions. The main thing, is trying to not lose control, but also allowing people to see that I do care.

Okay, I mistyped my fil, he's a ISTJ. He does well using Te, but my ENFP mil is in a Ne-Te loop, and its exhausting for me (INFP, probably in a Fi-Si loop). It feels like I have no control over my own life, because they're making all the decisions before I can even blink-literally!

Do you have any idea why an ISTJ could constantly get INTP as a result in the MBTI-test?

I heard that your type sees others people emotions as theirs sincere feelings and that is a mistake. You need some trustful ENFP friend to help you recognise sincere actions of others

I actually relate a lot to these descriptions. Even though I suck at planning I love that stuff hahaha How about Dr. Huberman’s stuff? Seems very ST to me. Implementing all those life hacks is like a hobby to me 😄

This whole episode is contaminated by the mbti introverted sensing cognitive stack error. Observation & Socionics proves ALL mbti-SJs actually lead with judging. ALL mbti-SPs actually lead with sensing. Including the introverts!!!!! So: Mbti- ISFJ = ISFj (ESI) leads with correctly defined FiSe = Relations enforced through external sensory actions like nursing. Mbti-ISTJ = ISTj (LSI) leads with correctly defined TiSe = laws enforced ✏️ 📝 . Example: Accounting. Mbti-ISTP = ISTp (SLI) leads with correctly defined SiTe = Sensory pragmatism 🔨 🛠 🪛 🔧 Mbti- ISFP = ISFp (SEI) leads with correctly defined SiFe = Sensory mood 💋 💄 Note: Thankfully Mbti only has the 4 introverted sensor's leading 2 functions wrong. Thankfully, it has the other 12 type's leading 2 functions right after doing a J and P switch ONLY for the introverted intuitives.
