The guest is describing Ni with logic but the Ni truly read patterns and suddenly find themselves “knowing” something. It’s not a deductive thing.

Ni doesnt read patterns. If you recognize a pattern that means that a judging function is involved (thinking or feeling). Ni just collects the information that allows you to recognize patterns, it sorts your mental in a way that allows you to figure out that things are connected/related. With Ni it's usually comes up as having a subconcious aide or associative memory. Ni-Te and Ni-Ti are different processes but both are deductive since intuition is involved and the logical conclusion would be derived from an inference, not real world data. The difference is that Ni-Te process is balanced and Ni-Ti process is entirely introverted, leading to certain limitations.

You MUSt read Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint. It's a dynamic between INTJ and ISTP

26:30 - 26:57. The way he is explaining the degree to which he cares to do his Ni is the same way I feel about Te, which makes me think that's how we all feel about our tertiary functions

I am an INFJ and I love to be taken care of but my ISTP husband acts like the guest: his independence is important in each activity - as I am for my long term vision: independent in everything in the system.

Great question! Why move people in certain direction? It's manipulation for your own benefit most likely.

Fe users manipulate, it's just the way it is

My husband is an ISTP. YOLO works well for him but it doesn’t mean he is not a cautious person. Maybe he is cautious not even via thinking. I wish this guest could explain better how are they cautious?
