My 2015 GMC Sierra SLT max tow has has a few mechanical issue, but also a couple of subpar factory design items. -15k Injector failed ( previous owner) -30k headlight upgrade: Morimoto XB HID kit, the retrofit store (factory lights were only good for driving in daytime) -35k radio upgrade: DSP, 45w Amp & 200w subwoofer, Kit by Kicker VSS ( factory “krackle” sound at 1/3 volume not suitable for $50k truck, now it rocks!!!) -70k A/C failed (factory design flaw in line set routing, see service bulletin) -80k A/C failed (dealer comped 2nd repair, loose hoses) -de-carbonized the DI intake twice (for effective fuel mileage, add intake decarbonize maintenance cost) Conclusion: beautiful and expensive like a mistress

i have 2015 GMC sierra Denali , 64k miles dropped #4 lifter . if you have one disable the AFM / DOD system ASAP and if you ever have to repair it just do a full mechanical delete of the AFM system . having to rebuild the top end at 64k is upsetting . cam , lifters , springs , push rods , oil stoppers , basically rebuilding the heads , at least when im done it will have more power and the stage 2 cam will sound nice , best part is i wont have to worry about the afm system killing it ever again .

Sir, I feel for you. You pay good money for a new truck that you just want to sit back and enjoy and not wonder will today be the day when the next major issue arise. I love these new Chevys and GMC trucks and would love to get one but man, the heartache these trucks are giving their owners make me head for the hills...

Just got a 16 Silverado it's absolutely mint it runs and shifts so mint so maybe he repaired things already idk the Carfax report isn't specific enough but we'll see I guess....... Now that you say that my lines are dirty too like they when a fluid gets on it and then the dirt sticks to the fluid that's what it looks like now that you say it I just noticed that now they won't cover it even if you call I'm sure you already know by now unless they did cover it I'll be surprised it's a hose They don't cover hoses belts gaskets anything like that doesn't get covered because they're kind of a maintenance item unfortunately 65,000 yeah that's a little early for line but everything's built cheaper nowadays now you got me scared and I wanted to replace my lines now lol unless it's my power steering line which I'm not really worried about I've had trucks with wet power steering If it starts weak into the point where I got to fill it up yeah or it doesn't work yeah then I'll replace the lines but for now I'm running it

I have a ‘14 Sierra SLE z71 , and had to replace my transmission @ 82k miles . Had same problem with my trans lines @ the connection to trans cooler , all that was needed ,take retaining clip out , clean both female/male connection points & re-install & squeeze retaining clips a tad & re-install . Haven’t had any problems since (knock on wood) over all nice trucks . I have every option in it . Purchased Used as well .

126k miles on my 15 onyx black slt crew 4x4 Sierra. Normal maintenance nothing more. 5.3 and 6speed auto is the safe bet for these trucks. Looking to put another 75k miles on her before any major repairs.

I had a 14 Sierra SLE. Truck was a lease. Only problem I had was the passenger door lock solenoid failed at 6 months. GM replaced it under warranty. The other issue is the headlights are dismal at best. I installed a hid kit and that helped immensely.

I bet warranty didn't cover the repair.

I can't seem to find anything related to what my 2015 sierra is doing. When I drive for a little bit and stop, it starts making a clunking noise around the thermostat area. Anyone else have this issue? Have you figured out what it is/how to fix it? Thanks. Just bought it in February and thought my car issues were over for a little bit. But now I'm concerned.

GM will not recall or repair defects for free unless it is in warrenty or the problem will cause harm to the occupants. The AC condenser leaking at a driver side weld is a common defect.

I'm thinking that it's time that we all write letters to GM. They put out a shit product lately I've had an 84 4 wd GMC pick-up truck no real issues on these vehicles I've had a 94 trans am A 94 GMC pick-up truck A 3500 savanna van 2001 A 2008 Chevy express Now a 2015 GMC crew cab slt I've replaced brake rotors, a/c condenser, water pump, and now a transmission I bought it in 2018 with 50,000 miles. I currently have 137,000 miles on it and I'm considering selling it and looking at another brand. G M has failed miserably My wife has a 2013 genesis coupe with 95000 miles with ZERO issues.
