I never thought I'd say this, but after trying it on drums I was convinced that it sounds magical! There's no other word for it, it works with the groove like a charm.

Hardware sounds a little more warm and open but just by a margin. I never owned or heard the hardware. But i can speak about this plugin. It sounds phenomenal. I just tried on master channel and It changed the sound in magical way. More depth, open and warmer

It's got that knock, the color and distortion sounds really good, the low end has some kind of a magic from the quick test i ran. Would have loved to see the sidechain module for FB/FF and HPF operation right away but i'm sure it will be coming later on. That sound was not available in any 670 plugin yet, glad to be able to get that sound in the box.

Very close but I can hear more of the room acoustics in the hardware. Still very good for a plugin though. As you say this is not an easy one to emulate.

I got a Schwerkraft Maschine Vari-Mu with a dsp sidechain and it has motorized controls via plug-in. Really cool concept, especially for recall and automaton!

Uncannily similar! I hear a smidgen more weight with the HW, but that's usually the case with these comparisons. Awesome, Eric!

It IS very exiting simply because I don't think that we'd ever be able to afford an UnFairchild, however, we have the UA and Waves versions, which are way cheaper....so, what's the difference? Why should we buy this one?
