Agreed, pretty shitty feeling when the people you love and trust the most hurt you the worst! ESPECIALLY when it's like a damn light switch...after YEARS!! There is nothing worse in my opinion then being thrown out of your own home after years together building something with someone to be erased and 'replaced' immediately. I remember that feeling still years later and how cold and callus it all felt. Obviously anyone is better off out of a situation with a selfish, narcissistic sociopath but it always sucks when it takes just a little while to realize that. Here is to getting her life, happiness, comfort, independence and power back! I don't wish that level of stress and hurt on anyway I'm glad it's over!!

I had a very toxic relationship with a narcissistic arsehole when I was younger. I kicked HIM out, and he was homeless for maybe a week before he had to go home to his parents' house. It was MY apartment, (his name not on the lease), he cheated on me, I caught him, and threw all his stuff outside. It wasn't going to be me who suffered. I had the landlord change the locks too, and he still tried to break in when I was at work (he didn't have a job). Police were called by a neighbor, and he was arrested. His parents wanted me to drop the charges, but I stood firm, and he did 5 years in prison. I know Kaya will be fine now, and have much happier times ahead. (Jan Griffiths).

For the bathroom door windows, use window cling film! Kinda what you used on that one window in your studio that casted rainbows into your room. Amazon has some that are not as transparent so it can provide privacy into the bathroom :) Then you don't have to battle with blinds/curtains

I’ve been in abusive situations before where I’ve lost my home as a result. I ended up in women’s shelters and had to build my life from scratch. I am so afraid to move in with guys now, if I ever do I’m putting the place in my name only. I’m glad you’re in a better place, I know that feeling of freedom and I’m so happy you are not attached to the other person anymore. I never liked the way he spoke to you. It could be played off like this is our banter type thing but there was major alarms for me. They make paints you can use to create them! And they're removable with a razor blade when you need to. That way you can have privacy that looks cooler than just a blind!

I went through a similar situation xpt my fiance up and left to another state the month my lease was to be re-signed and I was forced to get roomates or be homless.. the roomates I got were friends I've had for over 10 years but they quickly quit their jobs and were freeloading and squating in my apartment... till my lease ended again and I was left with no where to go.. and was officially homless.... I was lucky enough to find a really sweet lady who was renting her 1 bedroom home and she accepted my application and allowed me to start renting from her. It's so nice not having to live with people who do nothing but take advantage of you and verbally and mentally abuse you.. they destroyed my apartment and soaked up every penny I had in rent, bills and damages after taking tm entire security deposit. They owe me thousands of dollars for the rent I was forced to pay since I was the only responsible one saving and paying rent and bills... im still trying to financially recover from everything they put me threw. If it wasn't bad enough they were responsible for causing my dog who was my service animal to get hit by a car and die when I was at work... this last year has been possibly the worse year of my entire life wich is pretty hard to beat coming from an abusive household as a child.

Im so happy for you! I cheer for you everyday. I have had several friends trying to purchase homes or flats in the UK since the pandemic started, and that process alone has been crazy enough. There are easy options! You can do if they say it's okay peel and stick wallpaper, or as I've seen multiple friends do, use cloth and pin it to the corners. It's perfect if your actually doing strips. Though if you do get to paint my personal favorite is to paint the walls mat and designs with a gloss of the same color.
