Remember that battery technology is advancing rapidly. It will not be too long before a battery can have double the capacity for the same overall mass. A 5.4 kWh battery would enable 16 hour operation. If the robot mass without the battery can be reduced, then it could carry more battery mass. It's within reason to expect to see something like an Optimus with 24 hour operations, allowing for maybe 20 hours of operation plus 4 hours of recharging each day, with 4 hours in reserve.

I was amazed by watching this video. I'm still trying to come up with ideas that I can bring into the schools to demonstrate these humanoid robots. My aim is to challenge young minds into realms that they haven't yet thought about. STEAM Subjects including the Arts can lead to rewarding careers but first we have to plant those seeds.

I am a huge fan of Optimus, however, it will need substantial redesign to be a “homemaker “robot. To be in a home, it needs to feel warm and comforting to have around. Optimus has a cold black faceless structure that I believe many will find unnerving. Tesla should partner with Engineered Arts to bring Ameca’s likable, humanlike features and mannerisms to the Optimus framework. At that point you have a friendly and warm companion for the home, hospitals, etc.

Let's not forget that "carbon fiber" is a composite material made by the carbon fibers and resin, weather epoxy or thermoplastic. For these reasons, carbon fiber, or better carbon based composites, aren't more durable than steel and can't bear more heat than steel (the carbon fiber itself would, but not the resin)

Optimus Gen 3 could have really beneficial features, which could be include and in Smart Home systems. The feature is to care about human in long distance, like not only near home, but when the distance is 100 - 150 km from robot and human, for detect different activity against human and human rights violation. For example human live in rural area and near village not like human and trying to make something, just because.... or for example human live in city and humans trying to somehow influence to this human in view of schemes and actions which are destroy reputation and other important things. For to create safe environment, when humans do actions specifically against Tesla bot owner or just against humanity in view of rumors, or hidden messages for not let human to live peacefully or social disorder. Just because they find how to receive gains and they need Support and Assistance Centers which could reeducate this all sort humans which are actions not in human interests.
