Thanks for letting me live out my MTB dream rides through you for the time being. You guys ride that like a boss. Would be nice to see an eduro race in these trails. those things you can´t repair it...Best thing is classic tube,patches and tire plugs.I even carry a glue&rubber to fix tire cuts or holes. Working as MTB trail guide I always carry 100 things,last time one guy manage to loose his brake pads in the middle of nowhere,thanks we meet another group of riders and one of them carry those specific pads. Since that,I add 4 more types of pads to the guide kit,just in case hahahaha.

BKXC did you guys use it? I thought it was weird that he chose to destroy his rim. Also Brian, there are patches for the expensive tube, so you don't have to throw the 35 dollar tube out. And with those on the trip, the rim would have survived 😉. Just a suggestion. I need to get your bottle though.

Been there done that. Each time I rode the trail it was a kick in the ass. Lass time we shuttled to top of the fire lookout and had the intention of riding into Nevada City. One of the less experience riders crashed and bent his rotor. We only made it to Omega Overlook. U should try that route.

Hey Brian, how much and what kind of food did you have to eat to keep your energy up for this epic all day ride? I find if I go on a 7 hour ride I pack like 5 lbs of bars & gels trying to get down 60g of carbs an hour. Haha.

@mtbingadventures15516 жыл бұрын
We still had one more tube and I also had a repair kit. Just no energy at that point to do the repair or tube replacement. The rim was already mangled. Decided to ride it out. Thought we were a lot closer to the truck though. Knowing what I know now I probably would have put the tube in. But, it made for fun riding.
@MTBScotland6 жыл бұрын
MTBing Adventures what rim was it? Must have been a fair Wack you gave it considering the cushcore
@mtbingadventures15516 жыл бұрын
E Thirteen TRS Rim that comes on the Hightower LT CS model. It was a really weird ding. Just one side of the rim and it tweaked it outward. I could stick my thumb in between the bent part of the rim and the bead of the tire. I must have just caught it right on the corner of the rock with all my weight smashing into it.
