It's called fight or flight instincts. Some people are born with one or the other. Also deer in the headlights reactions is a thing. First responders are trained to spring into action as well as police, firemen and armed forces. Martial artists are also included in this based on discipline and experience. People can learn to fight back. Those that do not are either smarter than the rest of us or just cowards. Some folks unfortunately are born to be slaughtered whether they realize it or not and that's a cold truth.

I was at a corner store checking out like 2 months ago when a random junkie started screaming at me, pulled his mask down and grabbed my mask down and coughed in my face laughing, then hit me multiple times with a goddamn phone book, for literally no reason. After all of that I finally got sick of it and yelled to get the fuck out of the store. When he started to walk out there were a few dudes about to walk in and overheard only the last thing I said “get the fuck out and don’t ever fucking come back here”. The dudes walking in immediately say to me “yo chill out lady stop harassing him”. I was like are you for real. Wtf. Like they don’t know anything about what happened before and instantly took his side. It was so damn fusterating. The junkie, like a retard not knowing he was on security cam, upon hearing the guys take his side yells to the guys walking in “film this lady she’s crazy! She attacked me!”. I was so pissed. I then told the guys what happened and said “you have no idea what that guy just did”. They responded “well he ain’t hitting you right now so just drop it you don’t need to make it a whole thing”. I’m like yo wtf. Some big ass grown adult man on drugs assaults a 5’ 2” tiny underage high school girl (im visible disabled with a cane), multiple times, for no reason and suddenly when I finally say something back, then someone says something and it’s shaming me for asking a grown ass man to stop assaulting me. When I walked back in the store the clerk totally had my back and backed me up telling the guys that they should’ve stuck up for me instead of sticking up for a dude assaulting disabled girls. The entire time I finished checking out the dudes kept looking at me and saying nasty things about me under their breathe about how I was “a crazy bitch” and “she probably just being overdramatic”. The clerk had called the cops when I was getting the guy to leave. The cop said “oh he does this all the time there’s no point filing charges cuz they’ll just let him go in an hour”. I filed charges anyways cuz fuck him. I got a call that night from an officer. The guy was covid positive when he arrived at the holding cell. A week and a half later I start coughing and getting a fever. I’m immune compromised, had just had a regularly scheduled surgical procedure, and the guy pulled my mask down to cough directly in my face while laughing like a crazy person. I was diagnosed with covid. I still have remaining symptoms today. Covid damaged my lungs and killed off a portion of cells in them and now I will have an extremely bad cough and plursy for a year or so. Those dudes are just like that dumb Karen on the train. Exactly. /end rant Sorry for ranting it just pisses me off so much.

There is some science behind this. Many people get shot or otherwise injured while using poorly conceived physical intervention against armed attackers. If you're willing to risk destroying your own family, that's up to you. As a trained security professional, I would walk away unless there were no other choice. You don't "owe" anyone your life to defend them against some random psycho.
@tammy34583 жыл бұрын
@@UpnorthHere I agree that people don’t “owe” their life defending another person against some psycho, but IT’S A BRAVE, SELFLESS THING TO DO. One of the reasons there’s so much crime in the U.S. is the lame fact that THERE IS NOT ENOUGH PUNISHMENT FROM LAW ENFORCEMENT & SOCIETY HAS BEEN BRAINWASHED INTO SCARED SHEEPLE...if there r no deterrents to committing crimes, the criminals know #1-They probably won’t get caught (& if they do, they’ll receive a lenient sentence...we all hear how prisons are overcrowded so only the worst of the worst violent crimes are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law!)! And #2, is that no by-standers will stand up to them...which is why these cavemen boldly rob people in crowded/public places!

@Whoopdido7772 жыл бұрын
To be perfectly honest, from what I saw, it didn’t seem like he needed any help. The video didn’t show how he got the gun away from the robber, but once he had the gun, he had it well away from him, had the robber pinned up against the doors and the robber looked scared to death actually. It’s possible that having more people involved (who most likely would have no clue what they were doing) could have made the situation worse.
