i've been watching a ton of your videos to help get over my small fear of spiders, i've always wanted one as a pet but was always a little afraid of them, so i figured seeing spiders more often would help calm my fear. i've even started catching (and releasing) and observing small jumping spiders i find outside LOL. it's definitely working, they are so cute and interesting to me now :)

Dude I used to have INSANE fear of tarantulas. Then one night I was taking my trash out and one fell from the top of my doorway and landed on my chest, slid down and hit the floor. It didn't come after me or try to run. I did feel bad for it so I picked it up in a salad bowl and took it back outside. I was worried it was gonna die, that was a really long fall and it was HEAVY. But it sat next to me for a little while and then crawled off. That was the end of my spider fear. You have some really pretty ones!

Such great shots! I got terrible arachnophobia, but you make me find them quite fascinating.. Even tho i'm shaking meanwhile watching, i can't stop watching the full video, so thank you for that! You are making my view and journey easier with spiders :) I've actually looked into some few species, which i honestly NEVER thought i would, since i'm that terrified of spiders no matter size :P but i hope you get your hands on the peacock spider sometimes! I've learned they are located in australia as most of them :P

I'm terrified of spiders but in school I got over fear of Tarantulas when the teacher convinced me to get over it by having a big Black Brazilian walk around on my arm. Never knew they were so gentle and after that I also had a Scorpion walk over my arm which terrify me even more for some reason. I'm still scared of the spiders that are native here though even though they are small they look much scarier to me for some reason. Especially the black house spiders, had one on the shower curtain once and it freaked me out 🤣. Weird how something so innocent can scare you so much they are probably even more scared of us 😅

You need a small pump sprayer with a wand so you can get closer to their water bowls without the over spray that causes them to get defensive and flick hairs. Great Video as always! Do you have a count of how many critters you take care of?

I have to ask, why so much water when you spray the enclosures? I've stuck to over filling water dishes in a corner of the enclosure, with light/moderate misting once a week or so for my more humidity loving Ts. But you're part of the reason I'm in the hobby now so I wanted to see if there was any benefits or what have you or is this a personal preference?

Hi! I have a female ground crab spider who has been sitting on her egg sac for a few days. Her breed will sit there until they wither away and die protecting them and I don’t want her to die. She’ll only eat if I hand feed her beheaded bugs right next to her while she’s on the sac. I was wondering if you know if I can remove her egg sac and if she’ll return to normal?

Hi there.. I have a Mexican Red Knee juvenile Tarantula in a 16inch long and 16inch high enclosure with soil filled half way and 4 natural type hides n rocks and red dried moss n 3 small rocks in the enclosure and the question I have is: is it wise to put a heat mat/pad at the top of the enclosure with wood built around it? For now my T seems to be doing fine like he/she is on top of a rock sprawled out and I put a cricket in and the T bit the cricket and cricket is walking around shaky and the T is just chilling out in the open

I have this young little tarantula I found in my garage, it’s like a nickel in diameter in northern California black and shiny, I put her in my little cage and she’s eating two earth worms so far but I noticed in your videos how you give them a lot of water. I just have a sponge that I keep wet. Should I have a little dish of water like you have? She doesn’t have fur yet and I was wondering about what kind of tarantula she is. I could send you a picture.

I'm in the middle of a jumping spider emergency and I was wondering if you could help me! I'm a jumping spider breeder and I have several females who have laid their eggs and one of the egg sacs is hatched but somehow when I left for camping and I left food in there for her and water she died somehow and I can't figure it out! So now the babies are without a mother and I don't know what to do and they are only about a week old! I have several other females who have laid eggs already could I possibly take them and incubate the eggs and let her care for the other spiderlings?

It’s a bad day to be a worm 😂 I still feel slightly bad for my bait worms, every time I get them out I spray down the container with water to keep them moist and happy 😅 Like yes ok you’ll end up in my jumping spider’s jaws but I want you to have a nice time meanwhile! Also a worm’s life isn’t exactly enviable even if they’re not eaten! Just how I sleep at night 😇 Plus seeing my spiders happy

Be careful with the water dish in your Harpactira pulchripes enclosure! For some reason this species loves it to drown themselves in water dishes, which are a little bit to tall... I heard it so many times, also from the H.pulchripes from Exotics Lair, that's why I would just use a bottle cap for them. For some reason it happens really often to this species, even in water dishes which are not really big. They are a wonderful species, but like I said, they just love to drown themselves 😅 so please be really careful and use a smaller water dish for it.

If anyone is interested, the “bouquette” is pronounced “boo keh”. That’s masculine. Feminine, in this case, you just add a soft “T” sound at the end.
