Oh hell I did a spring clean yesterday, I’m getting our winter stuff out, at last, come on winter. I thought only us Aussies liked Vegemite. Have you had it in hot water as a drink, I hate it but my husband loves it. Spread Vegie on puff pastry, sprinkle cheese over it, roll it up and oven cook for about 10 minutes. Yumm. We had a massive storm yesterday, I thought the hail would break windows but not flooding like you experienced. I love that hatch. Take care guys, another good one. 💕

I lived for years next to the Thames, every year we have the same, the worst flood I can remember was in 1958 , and most years our house was flooded. As far as flash flooding ( a flash being the name given to shallow pools of water on our meadows) These were fantastic for wild fowling at night ( When in season) we could sometimes get up to 10 mallard, great for Christmas dinner. The Thames is a wonderful place to be ,and I am very impressed with the work done in the cleansing. The only thing I get angry about is The way they allowed building on the natural springs and watercress beds in Bourne end This ruined the water and wildlife on very important brook that enters the Thames at Bourne end. Anyway I wouldn't worry about a flood or two, that's boating, a great life . Tip Spade oak is a safe mooring in a flood All the best

Hi gang ,when I saw you buying the fake Vegemite I thought Traitor but thankfully I see you are a loyal Marmite fans and only bought the Vegemite to see what the enemy were up to. The look on your face Marina looked so sad but I can't blame you having to deal with the prospect of two floods in a season .Don't let the weather get you down too much Spring will soon reappear and the Sun will shine again .Today it was clear blue skies and in the high teens today, most of the snow has gone and I tempted fate by servicing the snow blower and putting it away till next winter Take special care of you coz youre both very special, lots of love XXX❤❤l

Was this last Friday? It was biblical! I was driving around that part of the Thames Valley and that was a mission in places! Hope things didn't get too wild! An Otter in Pangbourne?! All the years I mucked about on the river around there, I ain't ever seen an Otter. Great spot!

Sorry Myles but it's Vegemite all the way for me. Marmite is too sweet (but I am Aussie after all). As for spring cleaning - Marina I too have begun in small doses. Be patient, the spring is well on its way.
