Bought 2 of the Jack Knobs. 1 as a spare. Got a little excited when I opened the parcel and tried to fit one immediately. Little bit baffled at how it was a bit wonky. Thought I'd look at it later. Went back and had a closer look at them and realised they were a very firm fit. This time I whacked it on, literally. I used a hammer! It fits perfectly!!! It's not coming off anytime soon. So happy you made these and offered them for sale!!! No more fiddling around with that friggin handle on the cylinder valve and have it fall off or not go on properly! That 3D printer will have paid for itself soon. Thanks Jeff!

Well done Jeff, got a few boxes ticked in this episode! With the fuel filter location, just perhaps consider that if you can’t get the engine running due to a fuel issue, you may not be able to move the tray back to access the filter/hand pump?

That wiper linkage will drive you crazy after a while when it screeches across the screen. You need to use some M8 rod ends (rose joints) to join the wiper arms to the motor crank (stack them on top of each other)

Looked like a lot of wins in the shop this episode! A wiring harness is just a bundle of wires and terminations- maybe valuable if you are putting it into exactly the car it came out of; marking every plug and wire for function before you stripped it out was the very best way to do that- and you've proven it here. Same "proper planning stuff you got in your fire /rescue training; no fault here, just noting that good habits kept up make for more success down the pike. Loved the redux on the Coaster W/S wiper- simple, to the point and you kept a bunch of well made Toyota parts in it. Frankenhauler is really showing how different a lot of Americans go about this with a credit card; I'm sure you have one, but the stuff isn't there to buy, so you make it yourself! Something America needs to remember.

@audreyleithes299414 күн бұрын
The only time you would need the fuel primer is if you run out or change the fuel filter so not a big deal ,the reason Diesel are not as load without a silencer is that the combustion process is a controlled burn not like petrol which is a explosion (Bang) great job mate.

Did wire diet on my Cobra kit car, that was a monster to deal with when rushed. 9 years later took the time to finally indulge in removing unnecessary wiring making the engine compartment look less crowded... Lucky you that you did mark all your wiring, I didn't! However, I did have the factory wire diagrams and shop manuals from the dealerships. Immensely enjoying this build and seeing how it all turns out. Keep it going as I will be looking forward to the next episodes! Dan D. Maryland, USA

Congrats on getting it running Jeff! sounds sweet for an old diesel, it'll sound even better once you've got a turbo on there too. Just a quick thought, have you ever thought about making 'fun facts with mrs jeff supercuts'? A video of all of the FFWMJ sections per marque, seems to me that people might be interested in hearing the whole story in one piece and also the content is already made so could be relatively easy to stitch together and upload? Oh and im not sure about the coaster specifically but buses over here in the UK used to have a momentary floor button as an interlock on the doors so you had to take your foot of the accelerator and press the interlock before the open and close buttons worked.

G’day Jeff, Love your work mate, Looks like you were lucky as the coaster engine, self bled. So that worked out well for you. Being a 1971 year model haha!! I used brass bushes, which solved most rubbing issues. I was happy to see Mrs Jeff talk about the famous B/C car, including where the car is now, how many holes she has and of course the famous letter. I personally believe that this car is definitely part of the Ford V8 history. Well done all round. Cheers mouse

The driver’s side wiper arm might possibly swing too far to the outside, depending on the length of the wiper you want to use. Please check, maybe you might shorten the lever of this wiper at the motor to 40 mm (or lengthen to 45 mm ???) and readjust its position on the axle a little bit. Otherwise your wiper might swing far outside the windshield… „If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing twice!“ 😂😂😂 Just an impression. Great success overall, congrats! 👍
