Hi Julie! Nice to see you...your yard is so pretty. Thanks for sharing it. I was just commenting to Bonnie this morning actually, how much I missed the entire "family" get togethers this Summer..no week by the lake or usual picnics..It is so sad how actions by one can affect an ENTIRE family dynamic. Just want to document I guess that for many many years I watched ALL of you make cherished memories and all of the vlogs are definitely not the same. Julie - we can not possibly comprehend what your family has been through this past year. The emotions (maybe even a bit of guilt - although I pray you didn’t feel that) must have been very difficult to deal with. You have an amazing family though and I know that’s how you all got through this (by being there for each other). Having to face challenges that are so very difficult and stressful! My motto is….one..day…at…a…time! We can only handle what each day brings. You getting up early and starting your day was exactly what I did when my kids were young ,o to have those days back again 🙂I would love it .I was excited just like you waiting for the kids to get home. I loved it when they were on vacation there was no tight schedule to get them from pointAto point B. My friends thought I was nuts to enjoy them on vacation,they couldn’t wait for school to start so they didn’t have to deal with their kids,that’s sad if you think about it. I can't believe you now only have Millie home with you during the day. Thanks for the laundry soap recommendations I'm hoping I can find them here in Canada. For the microwave I put some vinegar/water mix in a glass mug or measuring cup and put it on for 5 mins then let it sit for 5 mins and wipe it. A year has gone by so quickly! You've dealt with a lot, if you feel like you need to say no, say no.

I had an aunt that was very strict on what she fed her kids while they were growing up and all 5 of them became obese when they moved out on their own. They were denied sweets and then started eating them uncontrollably.

I definitely think there is a balance. Different wording and ways to go about it. I do not deprive my kids and I let them have treats and candy and sweets, but it is definitely more about educating them about what is fueling their body and making their body perform at its best.
