The la Mirada disc made me think you should do a Southern California trip and play all the classic course. Morley field, La Mirada, oak grove

Plastic gets chalky primarily due to the breakdown of its molecular structure caused by exposure to environmental factors like ultraviolet (UV) rays from sunlight, which leads to oxidation and the migration of plasticizers (additives that keep plastic flexible), resulting in a dull, white, chalky appearance on the surface. Or so I'm told...

I have some that doesn't see sunlight and is still chalky looking, it's the oils of the plastic coming out and drying the plastic out. You have a better chance of a disc breaking that is chalky that others

Those harriers are super flippy, after a couple runs they updated the flight numbers to -4/1

The chalkiness you see on prodigy plastic is caused by a material composition side and why you dont see it prominent in other manufacturers. It can happen if the plastic is exposed to unfavorable climate, wrong proportions of the polymers and plasticizers, or possible that the additives are not compatitive with the polymer or other additives. Long way of saying its they chemical formula they use for their plastic types.

From what I understand about Prodigy plastic is, the way it was explained to me, the plastic mixture didn't get fully mixed, so some of it starts to separate from the final mold. In the same way that if you don't mix salt into water it'll sink to the bottom, the chalky comes from less mixed plastic. Not sure how accurate it is, but it makes sense to me haha

The chalk easily comes off by rubbing the disc with your fingers. I’ve heard some people use olive oil as well. I bagged a super chalky color glow PA3, and it hasn’t gotten chalky again during regular use. It only becomes chalky if you let it sit for weeks/months.

Based on the last throw, I think you found yourself an amazing roller disc if it's turning like that over 5,000 ft.

Non scientific explanation: its the "oils" of the plastic seeping out and leaving, causing the chalky feel

Sometimes when I watch theses, I really hate how he sets parameters , like not throwing hyzers, like he's AB with unlimited power. We understand you wanna be a pro, but stop making things ridiculous. Just play golf. We liked the personality and thought you brought to the video, not the I'm a pro better than you gotta make it harder to play video that this came across as. Just straight up dislike anyone who thinks I'm not gonna throw a hyzer cause it's "the easy shot". Just play disc golf like everyone else. Stop the gimmicks
@prattacaster5 күн бұрын
I don't think it's about the power, it's just easy for him to repeat cause that is his stock shot. Calm down
