Hey, you've got a kitchen!! I know, I watched your cabinet and sink installations, but it's still a surprise to me to see a real kitchen. Editing discontinuity!! Your commercial had the kitchen cabinet doors on. Then you did the doors later. I'M SO CONFUSED! 🤣 The kitchen looks good. Even better, you seem to be happy with the way it turned out and the overall design. Well done!

Cool touches to the kitchen. USB outlets are a necessity these days. That's a ton of slip joints under the sink to avoid the trash can, but a great idea to use the space better. If they fail dont be afraid of using the glued black pipe to make that assembly more rigid and less prone to leak. Cheers to feeling better! Hard to be sick when you have things to do!!

When my wife and I built our last house, we ran dual water lines to all the hot water faucets and installed a slow-flow circulation pump. We also insolated all the hot water lines. We had instant hot water at every hot water faucet. Very little electricity and no more wasting water.

I love your building systems in general in the USA, 35 years ago my wife and built two houses. Sadly ours are brick under tile by law. Double cavity brick wall exterior , brick walls interior. So we had a builder build the brickwork and roof . It worked on a plot and plan system. You buy the plot cash , this guarantees your building loan. We bought the shell of our houses and finished them off. Kitchens , bedrooms etc.

Interesting trash thingy. I installed a Trash compactor in my house, but they stink even with the shaky stuff. I found a much better use is to put recyclables plastic and cans in it as it can compress a ton of them, and they do not smell. :-)

@stevepailet82582 жыл бұрын
I have never seen foot pedal in a residence. My dad had them installed on every faucet in his clinic. I am talking since 1955. So they have been around a very long time. The one thing I would recommend is that if you have to run your water over 30 seconds to get hot water to your tap install a circulation pump. This can be on a switch or just run continuously. Having to stand there and wait with your foot on the foot valve will get really old in a hurry.

I live in a house, and I need that foot pedal on my kitchen sink, since Rowlett has some of the highest water rates in all of Texas. I also need some kind of instant hot water device for the kitchen because it takes several minutes, much wasted water, to get hot water from my tankless water heater on other side of house.

You finally got a kitchen! Yah!!! One suggestion though....you might think about putting a catch tray under the sink for any water leaks (now or in the future). That's one of those it's not a matter of 'if', but 'when'. Hate to see those cabinets get ruined from a water leak...

The foot pedal and trash opener are a neat idea, but earlier in this same video you said the dog learned to open the pocket door and now you've given them a paw and nose level way to get into the trash and turn the water on and off and on and off and on and off and on and off, etc. Kudos on completing the kitchen though 🙂

I noticed that you get blow out when you use the saber saw. The standard blades are up-cut so you should cut from the back side. Sometimes you can't do that and it can result in cut errors cutting from the back side. Bosch provides blades that are down cut and blades that cut cleanly from either side. I recommend you look into getting some of these blades; you will love them.

An RV trick you can use in the kitchen is to fill a spray bottle with diluted liquid dishwashing soap and spray that on the dishes as you wash them. You use less soap and it takes far less water to rinse off.
