Chris, you mentioned the 1973 Bus looked backdated to look like a ‘67 and earlier bus. It is not actually backdated. It is in fact a Brazilian Bus. VW of Brazil produced the T1 first generation Type 2 until 1975 whereas Germany went to the Bay Window T2 in 1968. Many get confused when they see a split bus from the 70s. But that is completely correct for a Brazilian made Bus.

Guess what I found in my boxes of vw stuff I have packed away. Almost new looking 1967 door handles with all the correct guts!!!!!!!!! In perfect working condition. I just need to have it rekeyed.

There was a super with like 836 original miles.. triple black convertible on Bring a Trailer last i saw was $68k went for 82k!
