To me they missed HARD with the Jade color, since they could have made it a more crystalline pattern, or like the actual miscoloring of the stone itself. The problem to me is they call it jade but jade is a mineral/rock and is not metallic, wouldnt have that type of sheen! If it was more like a polished piece of jade and less like a vreen piece of metal it would definitely be worth it to me. I mean, the colors and marvling of a jade can look gorgeous!

the shade of green they chose for the “jade” weapons is one that clashes with several heroes and several skins. its one of those things that only looks good in very few circumstances. like imo the jade looks really nice on winged victory mercy, and it also really looks nice on genji’s shurikens. but it looks straight up awful on a lot of other heroes, baptistes gun probably being the worst out of the ones ive looked at 😅 i honestly just wish they had chosen a different shade of green that wasn’t so bright and metallic, or made it ACTUALLY look like jade does in real life! it could be so much better but what they chose to release honestly feels cheap and rushed 🤧

And remember: in League you get to see your skin at all times, not just your weapon and arms - they often have added new VFX effects, and you also get the skin splashart, which is also (partially) in game and in the loading screen AAAAAND you can also use said splashart to customise your player profile, if you so choose. I hate them not because they are green but because I think they used A) a bad shade of green because gold was hood because it mixed quite well into most characters palettes or was a complimentary colour where as the green they used for jade is way too bright of a green that clashes with ALOT of skins, desaturated green wouldve been better or even a more JADE colour or even minty 2) the texture, on the topic of the whole complimentary VS clashing colours, that can be sorted by the TEXTURE, “why would you choose jade over the complimentary gold?” Well what if the jade had an actual JADE texture where it deviated slightly in some areas, like a cut of a JADE gemstone! For me it’s less it’s “bad” but more I think massively missed potential for a competitor for the legendary gold skins

I got jade kiri and mercy, and I use jade mercy on mystic swan and I use it on kiri on kira kira or terrible tornado. Really the only problem that I do agree with is it tends to clash with the less vibrant color palettes that a lot of skins use. On tatsumaki kiriko it looks good because her hair is green. On mystic swan mercy it fits the overall color scheme. But otherwise I'd prefer something like diamond weapon skins.

Bro can someone PLEASE confirm that the Hardlight Rein hammer is RIDICULOUSLY loud. I have my settings tweaked down, so OW is a quieter application. But FOR SOME REAS9N the hardlight hammer plays at 100% volume. Gold: pretty frickin cool. A classic and rarely clashes. Can get boring to look at Jade: ... situationally cool. Looks good on a backdrop of a single solid dark color, or any of the other carbon fiber skins (Heres my suggestions) Platinum: platinum white, shiny, CLEAN, illuminated parts glow bright red. Menacing. Gunmetal: that weird blackish greyish brownish metal color so many skins have, but glows magenta. Amazing color combo. Is both masculine and feminine Diamond: Clear light whiteish blue metalic structures. Shiny & MASTERFUL. Illuminates with pale violet. Colors of royalty Opalescent: glassy clear color with hints of RAINBOW (OW is very gay 🏳️‍🌈). Bright white & rainbow illuminated lights GAMER: pitch black, with silver sheen. Jade isn’t powdered paint. It has a crystal structure and is semitransparent. What overwatch has isn’t jade, it is literally just green.
