I just texlaxed my hair today. I'm in love!!!!!! I did the conditioner and followed your steps and got the results I wanted. I did add coconut oil into it too. But when I tell you my hair looks good. It do look like it's growing downward instead of up. I'm in love, I can't stop saying it. It looks like I did a curly perm. @mysmilewow4 жыл бұрын
@@davideri10 Hey it went ok I didn't leave it in too long. After about 2 months my hair started to become so dry. I tried a bunch of different things to bring back the moisture, but my hair was still struggling. I also started getting that tender scalp when you need a touch up. So I've been cutting my hair each month. I just got a bottle of Oyin Juices and Berries it felt ok, so I hope it helps.
@TheSub2rainen4 жыл бұрын
mysmilewow My hair likes lye relaxer better than no-lye. Lye is supposed to be better on the hair, harsher on the skin. My beautician taught me to put Summit base cream in a squirt bottle, heat it in hot tap water, and apply to the scalp in 1 or half inch sections. It feels like a hot oil treatment. I also put it on my ears, hairline, and focus anywhere I’ve scratched. I rarely burn. Walmart and drug stores don’t carry lye relaxers, but Sally carries it and a 5 gallon tub of Summit. I like Affirm mild, which my beautician uses, but I’m sure any quality brand will do. It’s about $40 on Amazon for a 4-5 pound tub, plus $20-40 for the shampoo and conditioner, but when I keep up with it, my hair is healthy and retains length. I relax every 2 months because my hair grows fast and stretching seems to make it break off, and it lasts me a year or so. A bit of an investment up front, but less than one relaxer in a salon. Good luck!

Faye In The City nobody about to be taking 3 hours just to wash and comb hair like, it's such an inconvenience. Styles never last, it breaks off all the time bc I have so much hair that it just wraps around itself making knots that are impossible to work through. I have like 70% shrinkage and when it shrinks it just mats up at my roots and honestly it's depressing and I'm over it. To the point where I don't even care about my length anymore because it's not like I ever wear it outside of a wig anyway!! I think I'm going to just say fuck it and do it. If nothing else, it'll cut down my wash time and take less time to braid under my wigs.

As someone who went natural two years ago and hasn't put any chemicals in it for my OWN reason, I support your decision, it's your damn hair and you can do with it what you want. Love your videos

I say do you i won't be going back to a relaxer. I went natural....then relaxer...and went back to natural and been natural for 2 years. I will not put a relaxer in my hair again. Actually a professional did it and it started to break my hair off. To each one own, but never again for me. Best wishes to you on your journey🙂

I closed my eyes so quick and tight. You’re the Sunday school teacher from the early 80’s that scarred me for life. I’ll go to every church service on Sunday and through the week, but Sunday school is a hard limit.

Omg, you came across my feed. And I'm in love with your being. Yes. I have been natural for years. And have considered doing this process before. But today you have given me the courage to do it. Thanks 😊. Going to get me a perm asap. Can't wait. So tired of fighting with my hair. When I do it it's cute. Ohh but such a fight. Thanks. Love your videos and your journey. Signed new subscriber

Hand clap for you because that ish.... is hard. I was natural for 5 years and went back to the creamy crack hard. Now I slow down how often I relax, but I'm still relaxed. I loved how you expressed, no one is doing your hair, paying for your hair, etc. You did what you needed to get time back on your side. That's no joke, it takes forever. Your hair looks beautiful 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Girl sammmmeeeee! Haven’t had a perm for 8 years I am tired! My fro always look like dude off Simpson’s. Not to mention the natural hair is time consuming. I’m relaxing this. I don’t get how people think you have to have natural hair to love yourself. I’ve loved myself with and without natural hair

Only toxic shallow bw think like that mainly. Overly obsessed. Nothing else going for them in life so they get out of balance with the 1 thing they believe they've achieved.
