I love how genuine and nice Phil is In his videos it really shows how amazing most of the mountain biking community is, I love how he always try’s to start conversations on the lift and stuff. I ski and like every time I’m on the lift it’s always so quite and no one talks to each other so it’s nice to see him always starting conversations

Hey all, there's some accounts impersonating me here in the the comments. They use my account photo and have the name "telegram me at skillswithwphil". This is a scam. This is not me. There is no contest. This is a sitewide problem on KZbin happening to many creators. I've reported it multiple times to KZbin and blocked their accounts but other than that, there's not much I can do. It's like playing whackamole. Block one, and another pops up.

Phil, there is a whole new channel of content in here... presenting "up lifting with Phil" where Phil post his conversations with random bikers as they ride the up lift at bike parks. Listen to people's backgrounds, jokes, biking fails and so much more. Coming soon to most streaming platforms and wherever you download your podcasts.

Faux Pine (the enduro trail) is one of my favorite trails at Highland. It was funny watching BKXC's video on riding at Highland and I kept thinking he should have ridden that trail as it's more of what he likes to ride, but sometimes he tends to not talk to folks prior to heading to a place to ride.

I never comment on videos, but at 23:18, the guy to your left with the white Smith helmet should get a new one. His helmet has multiple dents meaning the underlying foam is likely been impacted and will not protect as well in the next big one. Smith offers crash replacement programs as well fyi. Stay safe and protect your noggins 🤘

Man someone’s gotta make a chest protector with a GoPro mount! I use a chin mount when I’m making videos because it’s a better angle, but when I’m just riding I don’t always want a camera on my chin. But I feel that I ride much better and harder with a camera on because if I crash I at least have it on video 😂
@SkillsWithPhil2 жыл бұрын
I actually think they do, but I don't wear chest protects so hopefully somebody will chime in with a suggestion!

Hey Phil, you’re a pretty fast dude. Can I recommend that you look into using a full face helmet and goggles, and a chest protector? And even a neck brace, can save your life. I am guessing that you don’t wear a full face helmet because you talk to your audience sometimes. Although please keep in mind that you can wear full gear, and take off the helmet and goggles when talking to the camera. Takes a little more time, although totally worth it for your safety. I used to ride motocross, and I intend on getting back into it one day. And from my experience, which honestly isn’t even too much, it only takes one bad accident to really hurt you dude. You guys are riding close to trees too, which can have branches hurt your eyes, and rocks and other things that can seriously hurt your jaw. And as quick as you are, a bad crash into a rock, tree or stump could actually break bones or worse without a chest protector. ( not that chest protectors are perfect, although they can help.) Additionally, if you haven’t taken a tumbling class, I certainly recommend it. I’m saying all of this because my gear really kept me alive in an accident where I landed head first, then literally rolled around 30-40ft from the bike on flat ground. Shattered and dislocated my shoulder, much better than what would have happened if I wasn’t wearing a neck brace, if you catch my drift. And you are very quick, don’t want you to get hurt. I’m not a mountain biker, although I do enjoy the similarities and scenery. Keep it safe out there man!
