.. This is definitely a song that needs to be experienced with the video to get the full enjoyment from it .. So much charisma and fun .. Like you, Sue, I just love her screams ! 🤣🤣.. Strangely enoiugh, although she has that wonderful eccentricity in her vocals and personality, I've never got into her in the way I did with artists like Kate Bush, Lene Lovich, and others .. I think it's that the majority of her melodies don't generally capture me .. They're sort of interesting in their way, but not the thing I'd listen to repeatedly .. But a fascinating woman for sure.

@wayne_twentyfive Hey Wayne, I see what you are saying about her melodies in her songs. They are definitely unique and not on the traditional path. In some of her songs, it almost seems like spoken word that just happens to have music behind it. This song, I believe has a cool melody though and you are right, watching the video adds a lot to the song 🥰

Not sure this made her break in the UK, she was already a known quality with the Sugar Cubes and just being Bjork around London. People forget this was initially released on One Little Indian records who had a massive amount of clout.

This was really great / fun video But i ha e to side with Bjork on defining her Art Sorta like Sinead with Nothing Compares to You Anyway I have been a Bjork fan from Day 1 and day 1 fir me was when i heard Birthday by the SugarCubes which i thought was greatest vocal performance since Withering heights I was lucky enough to see Sugarcubes and Bjork was one tough elfin punk rocker . Bjork was a child star and released her first solo album in her early teens or maybe pre teens (she does a great cover of The Fool on The Hill ; Beatles Song Iceland has a very special music scene Sigur Ros is another favorite and Jonsi Here a travel tip If you ever travel to Ireland or possibly all points in Europe , go Iceland Air because you can stop over for up to 5 days and its same fare Anyway i will put an end to my rambling SugarCubes : Birthday ( Icelandic version ) One of the greatest vocal performances of all time
