Hi Amy, I needed to watch this. Am a roadie, but recently purchased a gravel bike. Gravel miles are slow compared to road miles. Have to remember to enjoy the views/ride and not swipe on my Garmin! Have a good week and thanks 😊

Love the idea of a stat free ride ( apart from mapping ) we’re so stravaized ( new word ) I think it’s good to get back to just riding ( not this weekend unless you have Gills though !!!) Oh , nitrate mechanics gloves under winter gloves - stops any sweat getting into my gloves when I stop - nice and toasty after cafe stop 👌

Lovely to see you out with your dad. Precious moments! It is good to go as you feel without worries about stats. I use Garmin battery saver to keep the screen blank in my Garmin Explorer. That way I'm not constantly checking for speed and distance. Works for me!

What a lovely day to be out and enjoying those scenes. I once did an audax in the Peak District and I remember opening lots of gates, crossing lots of cattle grids and riding on lots of gnarly lanes. However, it was a beautiful day out even if I didn't get back in time. I see your dad has got a more modern bike. Last time I saw him on a video I think he had a Dawes

I just found your channel and your vids always make me smile and laugh especially the hi Sheepy!!! It reminded me of my last vacation in the south of France where on a remote farm two dogs barked at me while they ran along with me behind a fence and it seemed only normal to bark back at them so we could have a chat, I found out that an old farmer was at the other side of the road and he slapped his upper leg while he laughed and that really made my day haha, it is all about the little things in life! 🤣

Oh man, I missed your Dad what a character. did you hear him, he wanted to carry the stove🤣🤣. one of these days you should hide his map and then invite him for a ride, I am sure there is no doubt he will not leave the house. Why don't you start doing the travels to different places across Europe? coz we need to know places from you then some of us can be inspired to have some great experience riding in new places and countries. Like you be our time machine for the future if you know what I mean that would be great.
