If you wanna make these cards work, you have to invest more into Aroma cards, cuz these cards are more designed for that archetype instead of being super generic plant support like Link Jasmine is. Even Jasmine herself gets a lot better in an Aroma deck. Whether Aroma is good enough with these new support is uncertain, they do have a TON of intterupts and search, the question is how easy is it to bring out all their tools. The "Wind" trap cards are extemely powerful if you can consistently trigger them, but only Aroma archetype can do that. The new support make these 3 powerful cards essentially free.

You can already run the aroma synchro 6 in rikka sunavalon by adding one Angelica which is an extender and one blessed winds which is technically a brick but not awful. ED is too tight for the fusion though

I don't understand why there are so many people saying ban this or ban that. The combo uses multiple Jasmins, so just put her to 1. Same with Dryas. The entire problem with plants can be addressed by limiting dryas so that one loci is no longer any plant monster in the game.

One Loci is still any plant monster in the game since it can still make Jasmine+tribute fodder. It prevents searching any plant with Jasmine off just loci. But even that's not quite true if you use the summon from deck to get something that can gain you LP.

Looking at the new card and the combo line, the new level 1 and link 3 has certainly increased the ceiling of the Rikka Sunavalon deck playing through handtrap (Starter isn't as problematic for the deck if you are running the pile version) Adding brick to the deck isn't really a problem for the deck but I don't think the spell and the garnet is worth putting in the Rikka Sunavalon deck. You can already max out starter if you want with 3 seed, 3 lonefire, 3 unexpected, 3 painful decision, 3 of the new level 1 and to some extent small world (easy to bridge into seed). Compare the spell card to one-for-one which doesn't use up your normal summon it is weaker to handtrap. The wind trap is only useful if you have Jasmine or aromage card on your end board, which Rikka Sunavalon doesn't use Another thing is plant deck extra deck is tight. The only one you can argue dropping is Melias and Thrasher because their utility for going first is to climb into benga (which the new link 3 can do it better). The fusion is honestly really nice and easy to get into but there just isn't enough room for it. I would expect the new Rikka Sunavalon deck to be like this Main: +3 new level 1, + Laurel (also one-for-one and small world get more value now due to higher monster count) Extra: -1 Melias -1 Thrasher +1 Jasmine +1 new link 3 Pure aromage or Rikka/Aromage will likely be able to utilize some of these new cards. The wind trap are quite decent in grind game for recovering extra deck resources so we may see a more control/mid-range style build. I doubt it will be better than Rikka Sunavalon but we will see

This stuff makes aroma actually functional, tried to play plants without sunavalon (because I hate myself) and this stuff makes that actually function somewhat - they actually make a pretty competent board without needing to run bizzare additional engines and there's actually a purpose to playing the wind traps. I'm not convinced this makes a huge deal of difference to the rikka deck's viability though honestly, by the time the combo diverts they already have an omni on board, these cards don't make the deck less fragile or anything and the end board wasn't something you were ever going to chug through anyway really.

people roasting on the fusion. but its busted and noones noticing why. it boosts all plant attack when you gain life, EVEN during damage step. combo that gets you to it in rikka: •lonefire, summon gigaplant •gigaplant summon lonefire, lonefire for gigaplant •summon lonefire again, then stack the gigaplants to make beatrice •beatrice send aromage blend spell (the new one) •lonefire summon loci •loci into full plant combo •when you use your jasmine, and link it off, you can activate blend in GY to bnaish it and a plant to make the fusion •you end on your normal board, but a destruction protection and boosted attack to all monsters. the card isnt good for anything else, you never use its banish effect. but it means that just making a beatrice before full combo means you can end on sudo-immunity and beefier monsters for almost no extra effort. the fusion is insane. and noones picking up on this.

As far as hitting plant decks go, I personally think Dryas (or loci) is the card to hit, not Jasmine. Aroma on it's own does nothing. Rikka on it's own does nothing. An Aroma Rikka deck does nothing. Those cards only get powerful when you add the Sunavalon stuff into the mix. The deck is still using 3 dryas, so limit it to 1, or even ban it and the power level takes a big hit while still letting the other two archetypes exist and develop into their own decks.

Link 2 that can get any 2 plants out of the deck is just poorly designed. Way too many ways to exploit it.

@@shawnjavery The requirement on it to add to hand requires you to gain lifepoints, which is not a common effect. The summon from deck is admittedly more problematic but is basically an extra deck form of a 3 card lonefire.

I really would prefer it this way. Pure Rikka is a fun control deck where you keep recycling petal + princess + sheet while tributing opponent's monsters to gain advantage. Splashing in the link package just turned the deck into a solitaire wombo combo which kills all the fun.

I am genuinely worried for plant decks. It will be back fire for sure. I am really scared that they will ban Aromaseraphy Jasmine. It is not right if they do it since Plants since always is a garbage type. One single link is good (not so broken) and they may ban it. There are tons of supports for all other types, so people that says "Plants are getting too much support" really don't understand how poorly is actually the situation for plants. Kneeling to a single link for having a great combo is a really bad thing. In fact, if they will ban Aromaseraphy, maybe I will be the first to leave the game. If they limit it at 1, it will be ok but yet hard. Remember guys that Selene is at 3, they printed a huge support link for Pendulum too. I am not a rikka player, but I can feel people that will be mad if Konami will ban Aromaseraphy Jasmine

I am happy about this, just to get aroma playable. Aroma pure need to get lifepoints first, to get two aroma monster on board, to go into jasmine. You need extern support like evil thorn or lonefire blossom to play. Now you have intern access to starter, thank you. But i get it that this here is to much. I still hope that aroma keep save from bannlist. I am waiting to get paleo frog playable again. Not again to kill a fun deck because of a meta deck.
