You have 10 days to completely build out your Amazon van. So time isn't on your side. I think it is best you arrange a proper and complete inspection (and potentially fix) of the van before you sink any more money and time into it ASAP/Now. There is no point if you did all the build-out (even halfway through it) to later find out the van is not mechanically sound, unreliable, and not even work at all (you already experienced the problem, with starting the van, oil leak, the axle, and potentially more issues you are not aware of). So I think it is best you take that van to a professional mechanic to have a complete look-over, especially making it safe for the trip for all three of you! Based on the mechanic's report, you can decide to go ahead with the build-out or not, without too much loss in time and money.

Tip for round head on screw or bolt if you use the grinder to create a slot in the head then use a flat head screwdriver to remove might come in handy in the future 👍🏻

My tip for tight rusty screws is to use a manual screwdriver to start the removal this gives more feel and prevents ruining the slots. Also, you were right to hammer the driver in for extra bite.

You don't turn the engine on where you read diagnostic...just key on first position... Also when you start the Van you must wait the heaters to do the job, it's diesel. So when you turn it on wait on first position for the yellow light to go off and then you start the engine

You need to let the glow plugs warm up before starting it. Turn ignition on, wait for the wiggly yellow line (glow plug light) illuminate and then disappear and then start. Will start better too

When trying to remove a screw that have a worn slot / phillips head. Place a large rubber band or balloon over the screw head and the driver will grip to allow you to undo the screw.

I have a scanguage 3. It’s plugged in 24 seven and monitors everything that yours does but also while you’re driving so if you happen to break down while you were on a trip, it will log temperatures and every single thing that happened when the vehicle died. It has more features like mileage etc too. Has a digital screen so you can custom make gauges you want to monitor when you drive.

I think you will be alright and get there in time... Just make sure to get engine everything checked out. And that piss bottle was vile. Tip, you can try putting a elastic band on the screw hole too, that can give you a grip when you use the drill. Otherwise you can actually buy drill bits that removes screwed where the top thread is gone.... They come in a set, ebay, amazon, screwfix ect sells them. They come in handy removing stripped screws. Anyway look forward to the next video.

I love how you bought the cheapest van from the dodgiest place then proceeded to fit the most expensive sound deadening and insulation! I was expecting some wooden crates, a few plywood sheets and a mattress each. Plus for the van to be dumped at the ferry terminal on the way home. So entertaining watching the pair of you.
