Amen! "Tea" was such a weird idea to me (in the US) when I read books as a child...a special time each day for tea and tiny sandwiches...and biscuits. Biscuits were small delicious breads. Of course I had to try to blend in the Mad Hatter's tea party, too. Now Sherpa has tea, too. Next we'll see Black Beauty, of my favorite childhood library book, poking his regal head over the fence by the ghostly shed for a treat.

I bought a new kitchen trash can over a month ago. I thought it would be so nice because the lid opens and closes automatically when your hand goes over the eye (battery operated). The advertisement said the lid remained closed when children and pets walked too close to it to prevent unnecessary opening and closing. I took that as truth and a good thing that sold me on the trash can. But in REALITY, it does not open when our Beagle walks by and we have no children in our home, so can't speak on that but I do know that every time an adult walks by IT OPENS! Drives us crazy! Have moved it all around the kitchen with the same result.

To move the shed get two jacks and a few round fence posts. Jack up one side of the shed, put the fence posts under the shed. Lower the shed and push the shed from the other side. As the fence posts clear the side you are pushing, move that post to the other side. What you are doing is rolling the shed over the posts

Another method to move the shed: Place two long 4 x 4s under the shed. Bolt a cross member to the leading ends of the 4 x 4s. Secure a bolt dead center on the cross member so you can affix a chain or tow rope. Use big red to pull the shed which is sitting on the 4 x 4s

If you are serious about keeping your shed, find yourself some ground sliders, like movers use for furniture. Use your jack for Big Red to lift tye shed, then use your mower to push the shed into its new place. Best to you & Sherps

Country hick shed moving 101: Items needed: 2 people (preferably a driver who listens to directions well and another person who directs very well), 2-4 tow chains with metal S hooks, and tractor/pick up truck/other large vehicle (van). Place the tow chains around the lower portion of the empty shed, attach the chains to the frame of the towing vehicle with the S hooks, then slowly drag it from one location to another. Note: Older or poorly constructed sheds will rip apart if tow chains aren't properly secured around the lower part of the entire structure. Experience has taught me It's best to decide who's going to be at fault for this happening before starting the moving procedure to avoid a major argument (row) if it does actually happen.
