We are all devastated hearing the news about Philly bear crossing the rainbow bridge a few days ago, and now we are here to express our love and undying support for Sherpa. I can't express how much I've been trying to hold back tears whenever I see a dog that I had been following their story enters their senior year. Sherpa, Key, Phil, Millie and Rupert, and even my very own 12-yr old dog... All we can do is cherish every little moment with them

I must say this, since Sherpie has had his injection, he seems so much more like his old self. He's much more talkative and it seems like he's walking a bit better. Let's hope that he is getting younger by the day. 🤗

Very glad you're safe, Sherpa's eye is great and your bedroom corner is nice and dry. Devastated to lose Phil. Saw the video last night. He, Sherpa, Key, Nook and the dachshunds Crusoe the Celebrity Dachshund and Doxie Din More than a Dachshund have helped so much in getting through the last three years, and all of them over 10 yrs old now. It's like watching the decline of iconic musicians that got us through a lifetime that began in another decade filled with domestic and international proxy war and the same battles for peace, freedom, basic rights and justice. But more like Sarah Connor's line in Terminator: "In the few hours we had together, we loved a lifetime's worth." In the few years I've known these noble dogs, I've loved them a lifetime's worth. I was in shock to hear the sad news about Phil's passing away. I also had followed his channel, as well. I'm hoping that hydrotherapy will strengthen Sherpa's back legs soon to avoid any progressive problems for Sherpa's hind legs. I had a German Shepherd who also suffered hind leg problems & had to put him down because of all his severe pain it caused. He was my only brother & Bestie. Sherpa is in such a chatty mood today. I Love it!

News of Phil's passing touched me very deeply last night, partly because it brought back painful memories i thought i had buried deeply of the passing of my own lifetime pal, Ambrose, in 2016. I couldn't bring myself to watch his tribute, and had trouble falling asleep after i heard the news. It also made me think of our wonderful boy, Sherpa, and how we should all cherish each video we see of him, and have him in our lives.😢 💔 RIP Dear Philly bear and family! 🙏

Sherpa was in dreamland before his daily walk. Treat throwing, sniffing and exercise is the best for Sherpa before a sleep safely indoors from the storm. We have had quite a few back to back storms that lasted a few days lately. Best place is to be snug and warm indoors but uh, oh Sherpa needs the toilet🙄😂quick and back indoors😊 new buildings in the garden. That storm sounded brutal. Weather has been challenging but hopefully spring will help. Please see how Sherpa responds to hydra and MRI is only obvious way to see damage leading up to separation of cord. CT gives a clear view of bone deterioration and OA with muddy results of space around cord. I'm sorry for Phil's family not seeing that coming. Separation of spinal cord happens in several heavier breeds and humans. We lost our Shepard that way. Monitored integrity of bone and cord is best way other than stumbling and difficult voiding. He is at peace now and able to romp and be free of pain. He held on as long as possible and my heart breaks for his family.
