I love Venice. I took my finance there in the early 1980s and we ordered our wedding Crystal from Murano island. (Wedding crystal was thing!) I had given up on it ever arriving and then about six months after we were there, it arrived in the mail and not a piece was broken. I still have a few pieces left after much love and moving. It still brings me joy.

I discovered your channel by accident and started watching your videos..literally all of them: I can only say I’m impressed by your genuine curiosity, by the amount of life you’re putting into your days, by your being what really looks like such a positive presence in this world, building incredible memories for your kids that will inspire them during their entire life. I really feel the need of giving something back: I’m from the Conegliano-Valdobbiadene area (where real Prosecco is produced), it’s an incredible place and despite being part of Unesco heritage it’s still yet to be discovered by tourism and keeping incredible wisdom to be shared. If I can help you in anyway enriching the menu of your life with a “prosecco dish”, I’ll be more than glad. Wishing you all the best journey.

Interesting video. We loved Venice, we stayed in an apartment in an old Palazzo and loved staying in the city in the evening when the tourists have mostly gone home and you can wander the streets and explore . We also took in a baroque concert in a beautiful Old church. One night as we were walking home from a restaurant the mist was hanging over the canals and it was ghostly quiet evoking the classic Donald Sutherland, Julie Christie film 'Don't look now'. Florence I think is best visited out of season so you can explore the fantastic architecture. I would consider planning a tour of Sicily. 😊

This video brought my heart so much joy! I lived in Naples from 6 months until I was 4and a half years old and I would love to return to Italy one day and take my grandson. As far as family friendly or Adult adventures it would be nice to do both. What beautiful scenery and Architecture and history in Italy, it is Absolutely Stunning ❤ I think for me personally Tuscany is the most beautiful... The lushes green, the grape vines the gorgeous landscape... I am more drawn to country than the city... The cooking class you took part in is something I know myself and grandson would absolutely LOVE ❤ Thank you so much for sharing this video and your advice on how to make things more affordable. God's Blessings and Love to you and your Family 🙏♥️🙏❤️

I loved the gondola ride in Venice. The gondola allows you to go down some of the small side canals and is quiet and calming. Sometimes you can see people's laundry hanging on a line over the canal. People will be looking out their windows and wave to you. It's a great experience. Many people try to label it a "corny", it really isn't.
@micpern872 Жыл бұрын
Ignore ignorant people. They reject learning, enculturation, accepting other cultures and why there are even canals, how they were built and why,. why windows were built the way they were and how people used to scale the side of the building to get inside.

Loved everything about this. I also think you've tapped a niche in the travel market that has always been lacking, which is organized family travel. What an awesome group that joined you; the camaraderie and the age groups matched so well. How fun for your daughters, especially! We took our kids to Europe when they were younger but it was never organized, and we just "winged it" if you like. To be honest, there are so many travel companies catering to solo travelers, or (dare I say) a more mature/senior market, but this was so so lovely to see how well all the families bonded, and (as you said) now friends for life.

I'm British and we took our two sons to Greece at nine and eleven to Crete a Greek Island. We mixed with the locals, a lot speak English by the way. That's how you get to know the culture of a country. My husband and I have been back to the same village and we are treated as family, that's how you get to know the culture of a country, not the tourist thing!
@carrielamarr2845 Жыл бұрын
@@joannakennedy6005 Totally agree. I'm still friends with an Italian family that I met when I backpacked around Europe as a 19-year-old. British kids tend to take a gap year (at least I did). American kids, not so much. By the way, I also used to live in Europe and am also British.

Yes, it looked like so much fun ...I have my "good" days, but fear my knees might give out with a young sturdy group walking everywhere. Even though I try to make a point of walking everyday, it is never more than 3 miles at best & usually under 2 miles these days. My supplements keep me going. Other than that I'd love to be the "extra" (with my husband Kindlydude of course) in one of these joyful family groups ...but I may need a motorized wheelchair at times. I wonder if those can be rented? ~Tara (Kindlydude's wife)
