I can’t believe how this is so under rated! I wish this would have gotten more coverage. ❤️ bugs are a great protein source.

Every time I look at this guy's face, I can easily imagine a bug's face. You are what you eat, I suppose.

Well I guess I'm never eating again

He is exaggerating greatly on the difference in protein content and amount of natural resources needed to farm beef versus crickets. It is true that they have comparable protein but not necessarily more. Crickets do take considerably less resources and time to farm.

Oh lets just replace animal protein with insect protein. Eating plants, nuts, seeds are better for you, plant proteins are better.

+Huy Rasavenger The China Study to name the best known but by far not the only one. There is lots of supporting evidence including governmental and NGO's that plant protein is better for human health and the planet.
@otooleniall8 жыл бұрын
+Huy Rasavenger insect protein is treated as an alternative animal protein. to my knowledge there isn't any good research on the difference between the animal proteins. nutritionists claim insect protein is leaner but it is still treated as animal protein and until it is found otherwise it will still have the same downsides.

And how much water does it take to grow a single almond again?
@otooleniall8 жыл бұрын
Corey Doyle sad sad individual you are. almonds are the only thing vegans and vegetarians eat of course. what are the most water intensive crops? oh yeah they are grown in California and shipped to China to feed their cattle. if you are worried about water consumption stop animal agriculture!
@coreydoyle47028 жыл бұрын
Niall O'Toole You obviously missed my point. Not that almonds are the only vegan product, but that plants are not necessarily that efficient themselves. From my research, humans need lot's of this kind of produce to be sufficiently healthy on a strictly vegan diet. That's not to say we should be eating cattle, quite the contrary. I believe in an insect and fish future. In my view however, a vegan diet is not practical as a worldwide application to nutrition. Of course this is my assumption based on my own research. More surveying of the agricultural potential would have to be conducted to reach an empirical answer, especially with regards to the effect of a changing climate.
