So glad that life is a little better for you and your son Yumi. I have said it before and will say it again. Go with your heart and gut followers and help if you want to without suspicion and constant questions. She is being very guarded about her past and current life for good reason. She is not going to be transparent for the safety of herself and son and is entitled to privacy. Helping others does not give meddling or invasive privileges. If you see and choose to help someone in need rest in the thought that your kindness is appreciated without strings attached. Yumi or no one else is going to get rich off the donations from a few people. Even emotional support and encouragement alone is very important in desperate situations. I am a senior and have lived through many desperate situations and I am in a current crisis by no fault of my own so I understand how stressful and exhausting it is. Hopefully her life will keep improving and the best is yet to come.

Homeless can be in different meanings. Like the obvious example of living on the street, but it can also mean not having a place of your own, staying in a shelter, staying at a friends place (personally I don’t consider staying with family homeless, but some people over 21 would 🤷🏽‍♀️) not everyone would agree with this but that’s how I look at homelessness. Hope this brings a little clarity 😅

There are 2 types of homeless according to the government: sheltered and unsheltered. Sheltered is bouncing between hotels and friends houses. Unsheltered is no roof over your head. Both qualify as homeless due to lack of permanent address.

I honestly think that if people donate it's due to them wanting to help and give. You don't need all the facts but through faith, you give. Whenever you give money to someone in need on the streets you don't ask them everything or their personal life story. But if out of the kindness of your heart are willing to give (without knowing if they will use it wisely or not) I think God sees that desire in your heart to help. If you can't donate , then don't donate. If you want to donate, then donate.

Not legal to refuse a dna test but for married couple it's different according to the law.

Were they still married when she gave birth? The husband is presumed to be the father (legally, does not have to be biologically). If they were still married, he must have contested but I'm not sure if she mentioned paternity tests before? He can only refuse one if it isn't court-ordered. I assume she never went through with a court-ordered test because he is probably not the father

Another scenario is that he just THINKS she did and/or just doesn't wanna be with her anymore and is refusing the paternity test because he doesn't want to be tied to her or the kid in any way. He may be forced to take a test at some point, but you can really drag things like this out, and/or she doesn't have the money to get herself a lawyer to even fight it in the first place.
