My fav lure for bass & N Pike. I have caught dozens of LM Bass and N Pike. One day on a 25 acre lake in central Texas, on a 110 Perch WP, I caught about 40 LM in about 3 hours from bank long casts using 20# power pro braid on 7 ft MH FA rod and spinning reel. On the very same set up but with 50# fluro 15” leader added, caught 27 N Pike in north Saskatchewan in 4 ft water with weeds beneath the surface in about 2.5 hours. The adrenaline surge from these predators was the best….sometimes you can see these monsters (30” to 50”) stalking it, then boom! Other times, its a total surprise, and startling! Nothing better than top water fishing. Get to see, feel, and hear all at once. I have other sizes and colors too. Love the experience….love WP’s.

I like using the WP75 at night from the bank, slow steady retrieve so they can home in on it. Caught several big ones. Nothing like hearing the splash of a big one hitting in the darkness and your line tightening. I have learned to fish it all the way in cuz sometimes they smash it right at my feet, making my heart skip a beat.

I would love to see someone come up to Connecticut and catch a ton of fish in one outing. Once in a great while u can get 10 fish if your lucky and everything is perfect but most of the time it's 1-2 fish. Or sometimes nothing. I go down to South Carolina on vacation and every single time out I'll catch 12-20 fish in only a few hours. Must be nice living in a year round warm climate. Makes sense why there is never a pro tournament up here. Guys win local club tournaments with 4 pounds and sometimes with only two fish
@RolandMartinOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Some areas of Connecticut have good populations of bass! You are going to have to expand your fishing areas and find them!

If you know of any good honey holes please let me know. We have been to every lake in the state multiple times in the last 30 years including the CT river and the only lake that is consistent is upper Moodus reservoir. When I say consistent I mean catching at least ten every time out. On the bright side at least I get to live vicariously through your videos until I go on vacation down south again and can catch em like that

@arciefan4 жыл бұрын
Ceramic bearings make more noise. Skaters often use them because of their speed and strength. A Lot of fishermen consider ceramic bearings an upgrade. I've used them and like them myself. By the way lube will quiet them but also slow them down some.
