This is the solution Start Shaw at LWB, and Saka on the right.. because he's our best option there without a doubt... Then around 70-75 mins when Shaw's blowing out of his ar5e, bring on Cole Palmer for Shaw, switch Saka to the left, which allows us to play both Saka and palmer on either side, switching it up too if you like, or leave Palmer on the left and keep Saka on the right, but it's a win win either way. We all know that he's putting the slow old c*nts on so they can get the run around from Xavi Simons It's gonna be 120 minutes of defending in our box lads!

People weren't saying drop Saka. They were rightly saying to move Saka to the left and play Palmer because Foden was poor. Foden just got in the way of both Kane and Bellingham. Saka on the left was a perfectly reasonable suggestion to balance up the team. Saka on the left stretches that side enabling space for Bellingham. Palmer progresses the ball at a higher rate than any of the 3 and has more shot creating actions so you have him feeding the ball into the box from the right. When we did play this way our team balance was significantly better.

At some point people were saying drop Saka and Bellingham they look tired, nothing on the ineffective Kane (at least he has history), and a never effective Foden at the international scene who had no business starting games for England. Sometimes I think people don’t really watch football, Cole Palmer CANNOT play on the left, he’s an inverted winger or 10, occupies same areas as Phil. Love Palmer, and he’ll obvs do a job from the right, but that doesn’t just translate to LW, he’s left footed and not a traditional winger so he’s only effective playing inverted, dribbling inside towards goal.
