What do you think is the best controller for fighting games?

Xbox Series Controller for clicky lovers, 8BitDo Pro 2 (wired xbox HE version) for cross shape dpad. Dualsense is absolute trash, but you can get used to it (if you get miss inputs with this piece of garbage, take a 15min brake and you'll be good again). Switch controller is also a very good pick, but a 50/50 chance to get one without dpad issues.

I am using it currently for path of exile 2 and i can confirm that this controller is perfect for twin stick shooter, specially because of the sticks being short and the low resistance , and i have other controllers and this one feel the best for path of exile 2 . the face buttons feel really premium and really good to press , the triggers are perfect for rapidly pressing them when the stops are engaged , but the controller is not the best for shooters and personally i don't think anyone should put any big hopes when comes to compatetive shooters .

I've been searching for a controller the last few days...My second 8bitdo m30 (this time the xbox version) just arrived yesterday morning, and now I get this controller shown to me?!?! I just ordered it same day delivery, haha. This is my dream controller! Down to being able to make the joysticks short, but it's a bummer that the diagonals do not work when down that totally makes them useless.

Very interesting! Need some tweaks (like the placement of the buttons or the size of them). Also the design is not very beautiful, it's more efficient than stylish. But we're getting there, a lot of good ideas, turtle beach is doing good lately, buying PDP and making more durable peripherals, i would not buy it but would love to try it one day

Personally a dpad with a concave shape feels awful for fighting games.

Turtle beach is overpriced landfill garbage. You could get a decent fightpad and a all around controller for less than this. 😂

Nothing will beat a fightstick or fightbox but you can't relax on the couch with a brick and a long cable

I wish you would show consistency with the dpad. Do various special moves 10 times in a row. Once in while here or there doesn't mean anything. And don't ever compare to XBOX'S controllers when it comes to dpads. Microsoft's dpads are sh1t since day 1.
