I operate a 325 cat excavator loading a 16 yard dump truck and then I drive the truck and dump in front of a d5 cat dozer all day every day. Two man crew building 80 miles of ranch roads. The 325 has a 48 inch bucket 4.5 scoops and the truck is full. Great video Dave thank you.

I've always enjoyed digging dirt - with power equipment anyhow! LOL! Hopefully, this small spot of the landfill will open the eyes of those who are hooked on "single use" things. Recycling is costly, we know that, but what cost (to the Earth and future generations) do these landfills come at? Okay. I'll stop 'pulpit pounding' and offer you a sincere "Thank You" for these videos, as well as the ones on your other channel. You do a wonderful job bringing the world to us. Thanks again, Dave! Got to wonder if the Japanese really lost the war... LOL. .. When I was a kid, I had tonka everything. Dump trucks, graders, excavators, loaders and the list went on. Growing up in the desert I had lots of bare flat dirt that got worked over. I made battlefields for my GI Joes. Race tracks for my hot wheels. Roads and rivers and even dams which would get blown to bits with the firecrackers my dad had in his tool box. If there was any toy that made me happier it was those tonka toys. And the ones I had are vintage now. Not like the garbage they make today. Not sure what it is with big equipment. I suspect it's the same thing that draws us to trains, ships, rockets and race cars. Just a lot of coolness! *_BWA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!_* 👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣

We are witnessing the circle of life in the USA. Items go from China, to Wal mart, to houses, then to the landfill in short order. The longest part of the whole thing is probably the boat ride over in the container. Seems like everything is made to break and get thrown out these days.

Sad in a way to see landfills. I've lived in Sweden for the past 18+ years and they have zero landfills. They have incineration power plants. They do have various recycling stations where card board, plastics, etc are separated, but ultimately is all goes to the power generation plant. They have built sophisticated systems where most all particulates are removed from the power station chimneys. Unfortunately they also release as much CO2 as the dirteist coal plant. They don't like discussing that here. However, I still like the concept of refuse burning plants for energy. Many things through CO2 into the atmosphere and many of them are labled eco-green alternative energy. As long as the world has inept leadership, nothing will improve.
