Editing, story telling, images, subject. All is on point and speaks straight to my soul! For real. My last street photo I took in April 2023. In my mind I have given up on street photography. Your video and story just motivated me to finally book that flight I have been dreaming of and get out of my mundane hometown. 2024 might be the year, no, HAS to be the year for me to travel! Thank you for the inspiration and all the best for 2024 to you!

Do what you need to do but by all means I hope we don't get another month after month with flash evening shots in the street of Bangkok cause IMO in 2023 it was more than enough. Surprise us with something new and refreshing

Nice! I can totally relate to that. Bangkok is a street photography paradise. There are several other nearby destinations that are very photogenic too. Smart move. Also, it looks like your video editing has taken a big step forward lately. Keep up the good work. Very inspiring

I'm always awed by your street portraits. I've seen books of Yousuf Karsh's photographs of (mostly) famous/well-known people. Walking through Barnes & Noble it would be great to see a thick, high-quality book of portraits of your not-so-famous people. 'Zines' are interesting, but I think a large, quality book is better. Your street portraits deserve the best.

Glad you’re getting out of a rut and in shape, Robin! Wonderful videography, stills and copy in this; your entire production quality jumping multiple levels over short periods of time. This post was very engaging with lots of local interest and a great story to tell. Keep bringing it, man!

Well, aside from congratulations on digging yourself out of your creative rut with a bold and exciting decision, this was f*****g world class videography and storytelling! I'm looking forward to the videos that result - including, I'm guessing, a portrait shoot or two with Anna (Annie? - sorry, I'm terrible with names). Best of luck, Robin

G’day Robin, thanks for sharing this inspiring video. It was delightful to watch-amazing editing😎 I love all your work, in particular, your Street Photography. No matter where you take your pictures around the world, your work stands out and your flash shots are dynamic and unique. No one else comes close to the “the real, Sir Robin” for Street Photography especially with flash, in my opinion. If you want to Change? So be it! I’m intrigued to see what you come up with next. What a beautiful video. Such a strong story too. Thanks for sharing and good luck with everything you decide to do moving forward. 😎👍

Writing skills getting a workout too in this video essay. Made for a good episode and maybe a template going forward? Extemporaneous live narration has it's place, but I liked the thoughtful pairing of the visuals with the ideas in this one. 👍

Great seeing you move into this side of your creativity Robin :) Great video and well done. Thailand is a bit special to me as my daughter is half thai and i met her mother here in Sweden and had never been to Thailand before going there to meet her relatives etc later on. After that i have been visting more but actually almost never in the "tourist" areas but rather around Korat and other places up north. I hav also been to some of the more visited places afterwards like Koh Chang and Hua Hin etc . But actually never seen Koh Samui or those places further south, which is a shame of course but on the other hand i have seen places tourists would never see or get to visit too. I have also shot a lot of photos there, but always together with the family so not been the easiest time to get creative ;) Would love to go there alone at some point to just experience it and be able to shoot more. I like you never really liked Bankok and still not my favourite place to be, but you appreciate it more once you see the myriads of streets more and get used to and find yourself around easier than at first. Wish i had come to Thailand for around 30 years ago before it got so exploited though and be able to go to those more exotic places without all the tourists :) Anyhow, great country and lovely people for the most part. especially as a vistior there. Well done, regards Martin.
@therealsirrobin10 ай бұрын
Thank you so much Martin! I will try to explore some places that are a little bit more of the grid. I am so keen on the touristy parts but most of the islands are very nice and absolutely worth a visit. If you haven't already, check out Koh Lipe, it's my favorite place so far.
@martinandreasson550410 ай бұрын
@@therealsirrobin The tourist parts are beautiful though and ofc as a street photographer its also a better place with more people from different places and more things happening as well :D Yeh Thailand is filled with such cool temples and exciting places of the grid as well, worth shooting too but for other reasons of course :) Thank you, great tip ! /Regards Martin.

5 rolls of 35mm film £85 (Porta 400). I’m going to sell all my film cameras and move to digital. Why the film prices are bonkers?
@therealsirrobin10 ай бұрын
Yes, it's too much for sure. In Bangkok you can get a roll of Vision 3 films for around £9 and that includes developing in ECN-2 and scanning.
