I bought the light grey Serene towels (still on the site) from Italic just over a year ago. Everything was in sets of two - 2 bath towels for $40 (now $25 for 2), 2 hand towels $25 (now $15), and 2 washcloths $12 (now $10). I decided to give Italic a whirl after buying from RH for years and being increasingly disappointed with their declining quality. Bottom line - the Italic "Serene" towels are *great*. Really nice, luxurious quality and they've held up really well. I would absolutely buy again, though I'm not sure I will with the membership pricing model. I don't buy that much in the way of household goods, and I'm not skinny like Jon so I won't buy clothes from them, but I would at least consider at least one year's membership if I was considering a restock of towels, bed linens, etc. Edited to say that the Italic site compares its towels to Parachute and Coyuchi. I have some Parachute towels, and the Italics are much plusher and nicer.

I actually have their knife set, the enameled cast iron pan, as well as an insulated water bottle. I absolutely LOVE the knife set and the stand works really well in my small kitchen. The cast iron pan and water bottle are awesome too, so much so that I gifted a few already.

Great video, man. I'd love to hear from anyone who's tried their cookware, bed sheets, and other linens. We're due for some upgrades across the board there. Plus, I have the clothes buying habits of someone that subscribed to your channel over a year and a half ago, so I'll probably pick up a few things for me throughout the year. That $100 looks really justifiable for the first year, like you said. I'd love to pick their marketing people's brains about how the hell they'll get me to re-up for year 2.

@@The_Kavalier Yeah that one's tempting. A good dutch oven is so freaking useful. Shame they're out of stock of that pots and pans set. Babish got me cooking like crazy over lockdown, and I've almost made myself spring for the All-Clad set a few times. Getting it from Italic would have been a nice compromise.

Thoughts on the Italic shoe vs. Beckett Simonon Reid? The Reids are currently at $89 right now, which is very tempting and only $14 above this!

My understanding is that about 70% of most footwear companies' prices are margin -- maybe more for a company like Koio which does a lot of marketing, or CP which has a big brand name. By that math, a $250 shoe probably costs about $75 to make. If these don't compare to the Koios, I would be skeptical of the claim that they're sold at cost.

I believe italic cadence sneakers are the exact same as taft white sneakers. The back seam stitch is the same, the laces are the same (not supple and soft like common projects, more stiff) and made in portugal. All that leads me to believe they are the same shoe just rebranded. I'm not complaining however, the shoes are a great value especially if you find yourself buying more and more stuff from them. My girlfriend loves the leggings, and I love the black leather baseball jacket as well. Italic is solid.

No one does a video on "fitment" NO ONE. Thank God thrusday has free returns, the sneaker is built like a pencil. I need a wide shoe, just bought some Allen Edmonds penny loafers in a 10 EEE, perfect fit. It's not like there is an industry standard on size, shit's all over the board, I have a pair of oxfords that are 9.5 EEE that fit perfectly, I have another pair of loafers that are 11, they fit the same as the 9.5 oxford and the 10 Edmonds. Yeah, Crazy shit.
