And you all from the USA, Canada, and elsewhere, commenting are very sorely, politically-correct, missing the point. What is the point? The point is that Noraly's very hardcore, unforgiving African adventure showcasing the intensive and extensive infrastructural decay and the entrenched lack of development brings out the hospitable nature of its people, always willing to lending a helping hand, especially to foreigners. Noraly enjoyed that privilege. Equally, every retrogression, poverty, wars, disease, etc that is shown in the news about Africa is correct, and just as valid as the Noraly positive outlook in life depicting suffering and smiling, and hope for the future. So, in a nutshell, there is no contradiction between the news media reporting and the Noraly scenic journey and experiment about Africa. Noraly concluded this video by showing where she is lodging with a "broken faucet, no running water" in a region obviously blessed with abundant "heavy rainfalls," as she said, plenty of rivers and lakes? How is that a positive thing about "Africa?" How many Americans or Canadians would have tolerated that type of service, broken faucets, no running water, in their own respective countries, in any hotel or motel? But that is typical (West) Africa for you - where running water is gold.

I do enjoy watching you ride without luggage occasionally, which you seem to enjoy and like Madagascar we get to see how good a rider you are - it's easy to forget that most of the time that little Honda is heavily loaded with gear and much more cumbersome than a stock one (or a KTM 350!).

I started watching Noraly when she began Season 6. By episode 35 I bought another bike, that was back in July, 2022. When I reflect on her amazing video series I have already watched over 50 HOURS just in Season 7. I don't recall how many episodes were in Season 6 but I'm confident in thinking there were more than 50 hours there, so, over 100 hours of Itchy Boots and I think she is my sister, I know her that well. What Noraly has achieved few will ever get close to. And, she is so very smart. Think of it, each episode is around 23 minutes, which if picked up by a national television service, her timing is perfect for commercial tell lie vision, room for commercials and announcements. In praise of Noraly Schoenmaker, the real Wonder Woman.

I think all have admired and congratulated Noraly for her adventure in basic and about her filming and videography, but one MORE IMPORTANT factor nobody has ever talked about and understood, probably, or realised is about her Selction of sound tracks running in the background. Every episode feels special ALSO due to that picture perfect Soundtrack selection and running just at the right time with right loud or sweetness (i would call it). We should admire her sense of music , which is almost to the level of a matured and Pro composer for such videos. She selects the tracks based on the regions, persons, scenary and runs it at the perfect moment with perfect timing and if I am correct she also tries some experiemtns in doing some editing based on the music and video pictures and situation. it is especially noticed when she rides longer stretches within jungle (mostly on dirt roads) and with DRONE shots. Amazing. Noraly take a bow! You are a complete Institute in yourselves. Great. I am REALLY feeling LUCKY to have it all.

Such a shame you forgetting that rain jacket. Long treks on a bike when wet and continuous rain make for an uncomfortable trip. Some spectacular drone shots over the waterfall. I’m constantly amazed at your patience and ability to get/take something positive out of a bad circumstance and making it your ‘go to’ attitude.Still following you after several years and have yet to ever be disappointed with any of your posts. You’re such a delight every Wednesday and Sunday for me in southern Ontario, Canada…❤❤❤Rick

"Friendly smiley people".....Noraly fits right in. Cool to see the church on top of mountain. I feel better now that even Noraly forgets something at an accommodation! Thanks You Always! You never disappoint. Peace! ❤❤❤

Question for the others that been here for years. Sure seems to me the recent "dirt bike experience" riding the KTM has improved her ability to better use torque with a little clutch slippage on Alaska? Just seems to ride the rough section with ease now. Love seeing it. I rode woods bikes for years and really wasn't a great rider until bought 1980 Husky 250 in 1981. Was a leftover. Since all the fastest Pros rode one, knew I had no excuse. Within 6 weeks was finishing top 5 at all my races. Confidence. Confidence in the bike being able to handle anything I threw at it. It's crazy how much this game is about the mental aspect. Absolutely love seeing her get better especially considering all the weight she carries. Has to be tough.

I think her participation in the "Baja" and "Dinaric" rallies are the main reason for her excellent riding, and of course riding a fully laden "Alaska" with around 30hp. is a very different story to riding a light weight KTM. with probably twice the power.

@@Valkyrie57 Pretty much every biker I meet on the road when I'm out riding at some point is asked by me, 'have you ever watched ItchyBoots on KZbin?' Then I tell them how she inspired me back onto a motorcycle, back then I was 71. WOW, WHAT A WOMAN!!! GO ITCHY BOOTS, GO ... 🏍🏍🏍

I was in Livingstonia in 2000 as part of a year of backpacking around southern and eastern Africa. I took a bus to Chitimba, stayed a night in a hostel there and then hired a local kid to guide me up to Livingstonia on foot. I paid him extra to carry my pack. It was quite the climb; took about 3 hours. I spent one night there and hiked back down the next day without a guide.
