I am a Norwegian that moved to this beautiful and exciting country 20 years ago. I felt at home immediately. After a short time I met a Dutch guy and like the hotel owners we decided to dedicate our lives taking care of cats. At this moment we have 26 furry children. ❤ We have travelled around in Turkey many times and we have seen a lot of development, but also so much of Turkey has stayed "back in time". Which is a big part of the charm and gives us so much inner peace. You can totally get away from all the stress and modern technology and many of us find that perfect. Basically everyone have electricity, mobile phones, Internet and TV (if they want to), but they use it just to stay in touch with family and friends and get some news of interest. 😊 If you want to stay off grid for a while Turkey is the perfect place. 🇹🇷 What I can guarantee you is that you will always meet a hospitality that will amaze you. ❤ Great video❣️

World travelers/adventurers are so fortunate. In the early 1960's I took a job on a Norwegian freighter and on my return trip to the U.S. a German man in his late 20's joined the crew in Japan. He had worked his way from Germany, worked in coal mines in Africa, stayed in temples in SE Asia, been in Vietnam and sheltered on a rooftop when VC raided a village, hitchhiked and worked on various ships to go place to place, worked in hotels and restaurants when staying for short periods of time in any one place. I wrote to him after Christmas in 1965 and his response was that he had been in Baltimore working in a hotel and a newspaper did a story on him and got him a job on a German ship returning him to Germany in time for Christmas with his family. He's the most interesting man I've ever met. If you're young, take the time to travel. I've been to 26 countries, and now in my 80's I get to ride with Noraly to places I have never been, and I'm loving it.

Turned out it was automated gun powder "explosions"/blanks used to scare wild pigs from the fields. And the same night we had a bunch of semi wild shepherd dogs barking really viciously at our tent at night. But the next morning they were really sweet (also met the shepherd later on). I was based in Mersin, and as I drove along the roads I would see Ottoman castles, Roman and Greek amphitheaters and temples as well as Phoenician ruins all surrounded by modern day homes and farms. Truly a place to visit for people interested in history. Don't get me started on the food. OMG. Wonderful. There was a restaurant walking distance from the company house my team lived in. It was in an orange grove. You sat at a table under a tree of orange blossoms. Our translator told the chefs just to bring us a selection of Turkish cuisine enough for the six of us. We Canadians barely spoke any Turkish, and they didn't speak English but WOW. We ate there 4 nights per week for over six months.

I think I speak for many of Noraly's fans, a great post, we think the same. 53 is still young, take small steps and go somewhere local to you that you've wanted to see or do. I like finding pitch and put places. And there's usually more to see and do in the town. Go for it. Lynne Southern Ontario, Canada.

You can always pick a fruit from a tree its not stealing in Türkiye. Its called göz hakkı which means a small share of food given to satisfy an onlooker. Owners will be very fine trust me :)
@GameGourmand10 күн бұрын
That's true but not a good habit. Sometimes people just loot farms by saying that. I think you better call a farmer if you find in the field. They will share already. At least let them know. That's a better habit.

You should not take it unless it's really necessary. Not everyone agrees with goz hakkı.

Your occasional drone aerials really add perspective. When seen from eye level it's nice but from above one gets a whole new understanding of the landscape. Wonderful job! Thanks.

Right? The drone shots have really brought these videos to a higher level. Just fascinating to see Noraly from an eagle's-eye view riding through these gorgeous landscapes.

Hey fellow traveler. I just saw you riding through Sütcüler. I am on a biketrip with my XTZ660 (his name is Gerald) myself and I came through Sütcüler yesterday. I had a good laugh when I saw this unique bridge in your video after crossing it like 6h before. I am from Germany, I have just left Konya, maybe we see each other somewhere on the trails. I hope you got a nice journey with the new bike. It’s beautiful. 👌🏻 Stay safe.
