At the end of this video I felt like I had been reading a Mark Twain novel of adventures and exploration in the 1800's. It leaves a person feeling like, "Wow, I wonder if I could experience that". Then I realized it was very real life here in 2022, with Itchy Boots! You are an amazing and powerful person, thanks for bringing this to all of us.

See that some time ago someone fixed it. But the mods deleted it again. So we cant trust anything that is on that site. most of it is misinformation and they are protecting their writing mistakes, like their life depended on it. Have tried multiple times to fix some sites on there, and wasted days of work, trying to make the site better. It seems they have the misinformation from the Oxford dictionary. So they got it wrong also. So it is probably impossible to get it fixed. At lest the Norwegian version is correct.

Hi Noraly. About 10 years ago a friend of mine did a transCanada bike ride by himself and ended his trip in Alaska. He rode an BMW Adventure bike which was good for him because he had a back injury from his days as an RCMP officer. Also being a large man he needed a more substantial bike to handle his weight and size. He mentioned that his trip in British Columbia heading towards the Alaskan border was a beautiful ride with very well kept roads but once he hit the Alaskan side of the border the roads deteriorated and he spent a great deal of time upright on the foot pegs. He stopped at a road side diner on the way back, again back in Canada at this point, and he noticed a small group of BMW adventure bikes parked out front. He went into the diner and discovered it was a German Factory team of BMW riders who were on their way to Alaska and they pummeled him with questions about the conditions of the roads. He said it was one of the proudest moments of his life to give advice to such experienced riders. You have even more experience than these gentlemen. Keep on riding safely.

I rode up from Lewiston, Idaho to Homer, AK on a Goldwing 10 years ago..four night ride..great ride but my experience with the road conditions that season was apparently significantly different than his on his GSA. The road from Haines Jct to Alaska border (Port AlCan) was atrocious at times, as it usually is in the riding months, especially closer to White River and Beaver Creek..always a lot of construction to repair winter's brutal assault..with one 8 mile section past Beaver Creek, YT in its pre-paving condition with 6" deep loose gravel requiring an 8 mile peg ride on a Goldwing..ain't no thang on a GSA but that big Goldwing and highway "floater" tires made it, well, interesting...once across the border into Alaska, roads improved considerably..my journey that year was all AlCan Highway...I'm thinking that maybe he took the Top of the World Highway out of Whitehorse, up through Dawson City, and returning to the AlCan near Tok Junction, mostly all gravel and mostly still in YT (Canada)..it's the route preferred by many GSA type riders, mostly because it almost all unpaved..On! On!

I'm quite sure Noraly knows what she's doing. Many years ago I traveled overland through Africa, and was warned of all kinds of dangers, no go zones, war zones etc. Not once did I have issues, everyone was extremely friendly, kind and hospitable - even in the "military zones" with armed convoys and bush camping. The media often protrays a very warped sense of reality compared with what's actually going on on the ground. I felt safer in deepest darkest Africa than I did downtown in Johannesburg! Sure one needs to be aware and 'street smart' but that's the small price to pay for living large and being adventurous! At least Noraly speaks the local language, which I didn't. I'm sure she'll be perfectly fine 😁😁

I've been blessed enough to take slow boat journeys deep into jungle regions, in Sumatra back in 1989 and in the Amazon in 2004. Time seemingly stands still watching the edges of the jungle canopies slowly slip by. The entire experience is quite hypnotic. Even though the realities of the journey can be extremely uncomfortable, one can't help but feel like one is going back in time, experiencing and exploring the world in a bygone era. Though it's difficult, it's also quite romantic . . .

Alaska has been through a lot. She has been a faithful companion. If she could only talk...the things she would say. She could probably have her own vlog with thousands of followers, but her loyalty to Noraly surpasses any desire for fame and fortune of her own.

The sun looks good on you. I can only imagine 200 years ago, traveling like some of the early explorers. This look like one of the most adventurous episodes, good luck Noraly

What a nicely laid back bit of trip! Never in the history of human travelling was ground broken in as relaxed a fashion as you did your groundbreaking start to where there are no roads on the map. And gosh, that landscape is beautiful! 🥰 Just watching this was half a therapy for overheated nerves! 🤗 The only thing you could have used there was a sleeping bag to catch up with some snores.

The Patience of Job. It’s really amazing how friendly people really can be around the world. Unfortunately it’s politicians in a lot of cases that cause the problems around the globe . Most people just want to get along and be happy. Safe journey as always. You are a very brave woman.👍👍🇨🇦

Hey Noraly, greeting from your fans in Indonesia. There's an Indonesia Biker/youtuber named Mario Iroth that is currently staying in Guatemala, he's also planning to reach Alaska after the winter is gone. It will be epic for us in Indonesia if you can somehow spend a bit of time to meet/ride together with him.

You are the bravest traveler I know. You trek the jungle, dirt roads in the most scary and strange place. I think of my daughters who are about your age. Be safe always. I am having butterflies in my stomach as I watch you, yet I enjoy the sceneries.
