Itchy, I know you love the road king. If you can afford to ,keep it. You need to treat yourself to a new bike. I got a 21 road glide limited. It's so good for touring. So comfortable. My wife has a bad heart and has not ridden with me much lately. Don't know how many more trips we got in us. Enjoy it while you can brother

Holy Cow, Itchy! Had no idea you’d covered so much territory on all those rides on the FatBoy! You can’t EVER get rid of that bike, way too much nostalgia and sentimental attachment there. I made that mistake once getting rid of a bike because I put 60,000+ miles on it, and have kicked myself every day since; I’m still trying to get the bike bought back. Will probably pay too much at some point, but sure would love to have it in the corner of the garage all detailed, taking it out for a putt from time to time for old time sake. I learned the hard way, don’t get rid of a bike, just move furniture around and add to your fleet!

I’m so sorry for your loss, I lost my wife back in February of 2020. Last summer I took a 5100 mile ride. From Quakertown Pa. To Bessemer city NC. Then out to Robbinsville , NC. did the tail of the dragon. Then out to Sturgis, SD. Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse,Custer State Park. Then back to Pa. It was amazing and all the people along the way, the conversations and comradery it was really nice. I’m too do it again next year. I drove a truck over the road for years but it was amazing on a bike. Maybe I’ll see you on the road.🙏❤️

That's how I feel about my little 883. I've been cross country on it 6 times now and even though it's painful on that stock seat, I would do it again without hesitation. I love my Road King, but that sportster is my Mrs. Jones. We got a thaaaannggg! I've seen good pink paint jobs. But I've seen more bad pink paint jobs. I would say it's about how it looks. A rattlecan bike of any color is an automatic red flag.

Hi ya Itch. I get what you mean. I’ll never part with my 96’ Heritage. It came with a special factory paint way before it was called CVO. It’s confederate grey on pearl cream with deep red pinstripe. I did away with the stock headlight and spot lamps and retro fit the big aluminum 1960’s nacelle headlamp. It’s a single seater and has a 1940’s - 1950’s period look to it. Little bit of motor work with open long shots gives it a sound with attitude. I call her my Old Grey Ghost. I have never seen another with this unusual factory paint. I hope she stays in the family after I’m gone.

I know how you feel …. I remember , when I bought this piece of ground , that was perfect , wooded , on top of a big hill , and can stand on any of my 3 porches , butt neckad , and piss off the porch ! I raised 5 kids up here ! Built a really nice house ! But I had to sell my 50 pan ,after 2 decades of , finding her , building her , but , I rode the shit outta “ole bessy” I helped the guy who bought her , for over 3times what I paid fer her ! But as “ole bessy” , left my driveway on the back of his truck , I just stood behind m pickup , and wept , like a kid , and I never saw her , again ! But she’s still in my dreams , and , Oh , god , in heaven , did I ever have some times on her , 😅it took me like 3-4 weeks to get to know her , and learn how to make her , just part of my ass , I could just , sit on the her at a red light , and never put my feet down , I took my motorcycle drivers test , in Md. , and the cops were amazed that I could just sit on her , and balance her like , a chair . She was a “easy rider” , old school build , that I did myself , with some , of my club brothers , mental help , I took off the el springer 6” stretched , and put a wide glide 6” over on her , no frt fender , nor frt brake , 21” Avon , took her hammer down to , nuts and bolts , bored her out to 60 over , put a cam , and big S&S fuel system had a shifter , right off the trans , topped with the 🎱off an rival , diamond clubs , pool table ! We were always beefen , and I was in many slow races and never , lost a race , the other guys would make it to the half way point , and I was still back at the first keg ! How I lived through some of the shit , I pulled on her , off ! Never wreaked her ! And she was this 3stage red , that just looked like a neon talll light , and was so deep , it was very beautiful , and I was never asked , can I ride yer bike , that would have been like some dork , askin me if he could , fuck my ole lady ! But if she could talk , the stories , she could tell , we were a team for over 2 decades , but she’s still in my mind , and heaven for me , would be , I get to them pearly gates , and there she would be leaning on her stand , just as sexy as she ever was !

Dealer or individual? If dealer which dealer? Was the salesman man helpful? Was it on the show room floor? New or used? What color was it before? Was it your first Harley? Glad you are donating the spinning wheel. More folks will be able to see it and enjoy it. Before you disassemble it take pics so you don't have trouble puttin git back together. Give the historical place as much info as you can about it. Blessings to ya.

My late father left me an ultra limit 2014 honestly I don't want to modify it to me his soul is into that bike it does not have the base color it has the special edition color which really don't suit me but I've grown to it and for the most part I'm a newbie but I have a big frame he loved that bike and I refuse to get rid of it especially to people that will not appreciate it and use it when it's not meant for of course my style is black and chrome but I plan on keeping the bike as a tribute to my father but also I want to put my custom spent on it maybe just put a skull cap on a gas tank I don't know I really don't know what to do but hey man I appreciate your videos I've been learning a lot from watching you videos and I've been with you through your adventure through life and I appreciate the content you put out losing a loved one it's so hard it really is and that sometimes it's weird it's like we'll be all right in most situations but all of a sudden we get onion eyed just simply out of the blue and we have to excuse ourselves I can't explain it maybe you know how it feels but I can understand a loss I pray for you I pray for myself also may God bless you

Mark, I own a 1998 fatboy. I didn't buy it brand new but, I've owned it for many years. I absolutely love that bike. Couldn't imagine not owning it or anyone else owning it. One issue I've always had with it though is, wind. I have a full windshield. I have soft lowers that I sometimes have installed or not. There is a stream of wind that comes straight towme along the bottom sides of the gas tanks. It goes along the bottom of the tanks hits my thighs and goes straight up my chest. It's always been very frustrating. I've riding a couple other softails and they seemed to do the same thing. Do you have this issue ? At times it's almost enough to blow my glasses off my face. I've had a few other harleys, electraglides, a dyna, several sportys. Only ever had this happen on the softail.

Hi Itchy that's quite the mess in the back yard. I think I would be running to the man cave for the Stihl. I had to laugh at not liking a pink motorcycle. Reminded me one time we were riding and stopped at a bar. There was a black and pink Sportster parked outside. I stopped to look at it and a woman walked up to me and said, you love it don't you. I told her I didn't have any problem with women riding Harleys just don't paint them pink. I think I kind of caught her off guard because I didn't get the response I was expecting. I would hate to see you get rid of your Fatboy but I didn't think that you would sell your old friend. I think I know how you feel Itchy. If my shop caught fire and my bikes burned up I would say they make more Ultra Classics, but I would mourn the death of my 98 Fatboy. Good luck on your project.

Itchy., Heard you use Harley & Indian in the same sentence, (the Indian tassels with beads). You're in trouble with your HD buddies. Just kidding, ....but we know you can take it. Your bike's custom paint is an expensive paint job, I'm sure you know. Take extra care because it can't be blended if damaged. The entire scratched part (tank, fender, or filler, etc.) would need refinishing if ever damaged. As for travels, it's quite a list you experienced over the years. Was surprised to hear you say you went up to Mt. Washington, N.H. In case you want to know that mountain road has ALL been fully paved this past year. Their campground also has gotten some upgrades with w/e/ etc, in Dolly Copp and that's from Video internet reports I've seen & read. Must have been a bit of a sketchy ride going up & down especially on steep & curved sections on gravel when you went years ago. You've kindled my interest of heading up there too in '23'. I'm sure my Indian Vintage will make it. Nice to hear you're gifting the antique spinner because you know those folks will treat it well and appreciate it in their collection. I enjoy visiting museums where items like that are often on display & sometimes demonstrated by costumed characters, actors. Sturbridge Village in Massachusetts is such a place., you must have heard about it, just off the Mass Pike rt.90, between Worcester & Springfield. That's a mere 612 miles from where you live., only 9 1/2 hours away for you. So hope your '23' travels will bring you some hearty enjoyment in the upcoming riding season. (olde Frank with my not too olde Indian) . .😎😎..
