I've had a 2003, 2008 and still have my 2012. I love them, bring them back soon

What did you love about them lol

@@BrendanPJames what wasn't there to love? it was the first truck to feature GM's midgate which allowed you to make the bed longer by removing the rear window and folding down the back wall, 1st generation avalanches with the body hardware tend to have little to no rust, they had storage compartments over the rear wheel wells, you could fit 6 people into one comfortably, and the 2500 variant can tow up to 12,000 lbs. the biggest issue with avalanches was the transmission, which I'm currently rebuilding on my '02 avalanche.

I have a 2002, and my husband has a 2008. We love our Avalanche trucks! The comfortable ride and versatility of the trucks are amazing and not compatible with any other trucks I have seen in my 60 years!

Avalanche Lover here!!! It was a love at first sight truck for me and still have my 2002 with 265k miles that runs like a charm. 😍💯

I ordered one in the beginning of the last year they were made. It was not built and I often think GM screwed me. But, I finally got a response from GM. They said the reason why my order wasn't filled is because of quality problems of all the plastic on the back of the vehicle. Specifically, they said the durability of that plastic was not going to last through winters or hot summer days, So, If they make them again, I hope they have better plastics to keep this from being a problem this time.

Fix the dashboard cracking problem!!!! On my 5th one and all end up a eyesore, never mind the rattling noise!

To be honest, I *am* tentatively excited about this, but if it doesn't share the same combination of comfort & function/transformability as the old Avalanche, it just won't hold up as well as the original in my opinion. Source: My grandad has a 2010 & I freaking love it. We've been able to do a hell of a lot with it over the years.

I scored a 2009 with zero rust and 75k on the clock just two days ago. I'm probably going to be buried in it ! Absolutely fantastic design. Fix the active fuel management issues on the new ones!

I had a 2007 Avalanche, but when I found out 2013 would be the last year of production, I sold it & bought a new one. I still have my 2013 Avalanche, and it only has 34k miles on it. I own a few automobiles, and not knowing if they'd ever make the truck again, I was able to keep the mileage low to increase the lifespan. Not sure what I'm going to do when the new ones come out, but no matter what... I'll always own at least one Avalanche.

I'm holding onto my 2007 for dear life! Rides like a dream, only had to get a new transmission at 70,000 miles. But this thing has been the most reliable vehicle I ever owned! Brilliant design!

Normally you’re supposed to replace the transmission fluid and filter at 70,000 miles. Not the whole transmission!😮😢

Hopefully. Hybrid or EV is ok. As long as they bring it back. My Avalanche is now 15 years almost 200k miles now.

I have had two Avalanches. I still own my 08 LTZ and still use it as my daily driver. I'd be ecstatic if they bring it back, however, if it is going to be over 60k, that would be a big letdown.

this was absolutely brutal to listen to. The Chevrolet Avalanche is the first Chevrolet Avalanche since the creation of the Chevrolet Avalanche. Ergo henceforth therefore the Chevrolet Avalanche must be as desirable as the Chevrolet Avalanche.
