Wow, Katchan, that Katchan! I feel like I saw the news about that Katchan on TV decades ago. I remember that at that time, Katchan suddenly appeared out of nowhere at a kindergarten in the countryside and started playing with the local kindergarten children gladly all day long every day I never imagined I’d meet Katchan here again. How did I miss this? I was in Hakata but only for two days in May 24, my first visit to Japan and it’s a lovely place to recover from jet lag after flying in from the UK. I was at that same crossing at the start of the video, I gave a chuckle and a broad grin came over my face when it played the Skye Boat Song which is synonymous with Scotland not far me. Thanks for posting this video, can’t wait until I can hopefully visit again, I will definitely add an extra day to visit Ainoshima. 😊

We went here last September and it was super hot. Did you walk to the other side of the island and see the "Hanagurise"? We saw many spiders on the way which was pretty scary!
