This year my family is looking forward to SLOWING down a lot also. We have kids who are all in sports and we pour our lives into them, but mostly trying to put aside time just for family also. We are spending time clearing out cabinets and donating a lot of items this winter so we can have a clear mind. This helps a lot with OCD, ADHD, and anxiety. I’ve noticed a clean/organized house makes for a clear head. Wishing you all the best in 2023. Hello Lindsay and Jonas from our farm in New Hampshire. Happy 2023! I have been following along since you moved into the cottage. A time when you were both searching your hearts for a sense of place to set down roots. The cottage was the perfect medium. You may wish to revisit your first videos in order to see that you have fulfilled your initial goals quite splendidly! Reaching ones goals is a wonderful thing that also brings along an exhaustion of sorts. An anticlimatical period of displacement of dreams accomplished, after so much hard work and single mindedness. Removing yourselves to CA was a good decision to look at your life from the outside. Usually the time for me to fall ill, is when I'm at the top of my game and poised to turn a major corner. I'm happy to hear that you are both following your hearts and slowing down. And the truth about social media is, sometimes less is MORE. I see a lot of creators get burned out by feeling like they need to post all the time when in fact, the less you post, most likely the bigger audience you will have because it will be even more special. For instance, when Netflix drops a new show and has all the episodes available all at once vs offering one a week. I get more excited about looking forward to the once a week release vs the "oh, here is is.......all of it at once" Be more like a burlesque show than a strip club lol! And I think one thing all of us need to start doing LESS of is looking at the damn numbers! That can burn you out super fast and its usually not accurate anyways! So glad you were able to spend time with Lindsays side of the family and with Olive! Its always good to get away from home for a bit but I'm sure it will be nice to be back at the cabin again with all of your woodland friends waiting for you!

I have watched several KZbin channels the last 3 years during the pandemic. It became the thing to do was start a KZbin channel while home. But now 4 of them have just quit. I just moved away from Southern California 2 weeks ago... so bittersweet ❤️‍🩹 I have never lived anywhere else my 33 years of life, and moved with my husband and 2 toddler boys to Honduras where my husband is from. In many ways it was in the pursuit of a simpler, more slow paced life❤️🌴🌿☕️🏝️🇭🇳. I resigned from my RN job of 10 years! It was not on a whim we moved out of the country! Lol. Took 2 years worth of planning. It’s been a hard adjustment but I do love this country. We have a small coffee grove on our property where we have our little wooden cabin & it is so peaceful. But this video gave me a sense of appreciation for where I’ve lived for all my life! My Disneyland annual pass expired late November so I was sure to take my boys the last day we could go to see it decorated for Christmas. Disneyland is so special and nostalgic to me! The wishing well area is one of my favorite spots! So tranquil , whimsical, and magical. What’s funny is that Honduras is a very rainy country and I saw more rain jn Southern CA the month I left than I have seen here in the tropical rainy city I just moved too. But I loveeee rain so I’m happy I got some in San Diego before we moved. And I look forward to when the rain comes down on us here in our new home.

Good for you for slowing down, taking some time to re-evaluate & get some rest and come in to the new year more refreshed. That is so important for everyone to do. I love your slow living goals and setting boundaries for a better work-life balance. Some things I’m working on for 2023 include stepping away from social media and my phone a bit more so I am not so dependent on those things for entertainment or to spend time. I find when I’m not mindful I end up wasting a lot of time that could have been used for creating or taking time to decompress in healthier ways, or to try new things. I also am focusing on not spending as much money this year and trying to be under budget so I can save some more $ toward some goals I have. Lastly, my big goal is to write at least 5 original songs by the end of this year that I could perform an opening set at a show with. I am focusing on creating my own music rather than covering other artists’ songs. It’s exciting and something I’ve been too shy to do in the past.
