Greetings from Cobweb Cottage!🐿️🕸️ We love living next to a historic cemetery in the Sleepy Hollow countryside because it's like a wildlife sanctuary and we've been so fortunate to witness many cobweb critters by day; but what nocturnal creatures do you think we captured on the trail camera footage? We couldn't believe our eyes! What wildlife do you have in your backyard?🦝🦌 Bye For Now, -Lindsay & Jonas
P.S. A huge thank you to the Wolf Conservation Center for letting us partake in their trail cam lending program. Please visit their site and learn how you can help save the wolves 🐺 nywolf.org/programs-events/sp...

Lindsey's reaction to all the cute animals was priceless! It made me so happy to see the pure joy on her face. I also love that some of your critters have names! I think it is so wonderful you live next to a cemetery. I find them so tranquil and a place of peace and refuge. Obviously, the Cobweb Critters feel the same.

It's Gwenda! I really enjoyed this video and watching for the animals to appear! Back in the mid 90s we were in the Sleepy Hollow area. It was a special week before Christmas in 1993. This video has brought back so many memories of my husband who has gone to Heaven. You two are delightful !

This was so fun to watch! I enjoy squirrels, a woodchuck, a chipmunk, and rabbits in my back yard. One of the rabbits lets me get very close to them. I'll never forget the day that a baby skunk came up to me in the garden to say hi. Happy that I didn't get sprayed. Mom was nearby.

Hi Lindsay and Jonas! We live at church campground in a town here in Connecticut. We live in a cottage too , I've written to you about it recently ( your holiday storage video). We have animal life inside: two cats and dog. Our dog gets all excited at night because we have lots a critters outside. We see squirrels, chipmunks, and smell the skunks from time to time, haha! We also have deer and there's even been a bear or two that have wandered through. Most of all, almost every day we see our resident foxes 🦊! We've seen a two grown foxes together, in the Spring we've seen their kits playing in the camp ball field . We think their more than one fox family that live here. One of the foxes likes to come lay in the sun by a big pine tree - maybe three hundred feet from our house ! I started seeing it do that when it was extremely cold at night! I just happened to spot it one night when I came home. My car lights shown on it and his/her eyes glowed. I've got pictures. I want to show you. Is there a way? ~ Heather ~ P.S. bats and opossums too.

I live in a small subdivision surrounded by desert, and hear the coyotes howling quite often. What a sweet video, I loved your reactions to the critters. I had a squirrel friend when I lived in a wooded area. I put peanuts out for him, and he became very comfortable with us. He’d come up to the sliding glass door every morning and stand on his hind legs until I came to say hello.

This was fun! We have a trail cam (from Amazon) and we put it out every night. It’s so fun to see all the animals! From mice to coyotes and every critter in between! 🦨 🦝 🐁 🦊 And we live IN TOWN not near a cemetery or woods. We watch the videos every morning over coffee. 😁 (we are retired). We put out a bowl of water (the critters appreciate that) and usually table scraps or bread.

This is March in Upstate NY and my husband and I saw 'three Robins' in our backyard the other morning. They were so cute and popping around and when other birds are in the birdfeeder they sometimes throw some of the food on the ground so they love to eat it. The little Chipmunks and the squirrels as well will get into it. During the Summer months, we can also see from our window in Den just off the kitchen the little bath and they absolutely love throwing water all around. We like to sit there in the morning for a bit to visit and have our coffee etc. I think the Cardinals, especially the males *they are very Red* are so beautiful and especially against the snow! They become so tame really and get to know you. The animals will come to us if we sit still the birds chatter like they are talking. When we get groceries they meet us often the birds are thinking we will fill their birdfeeder * as my husband at times does it then, when it is getting empty* and they are excited and seem to realize we have food. It is amazing. This is great how you have Deer and such wonderful special animals there We live in a small village and have a fenced -in backyard and do not get anything like this. We used to own two acres in the country and then they did come. Love your cozy cottage and the fun you can have living near a cemetery and I am positive the animals now know who you are and they really do watch us more than we know! They can see how you will not be obtrusive to their well-being. This was so exciting to watch and just loved seeing just what the animals are up to in the night. a little peak at their hidden life!

I've always loved cemeteries. My husband thought I was crazy, but ever since I was a young teen I would enjoy walking through my town's cemeteries and absorb the peaceful quiet. I loved the old trees and birds and would sometimes read some of what was written on the stones imagining what the person who rested there must have been like. Some had funny sayings making me think they had a good sense of humor, some were thoughtful. There was a small lamb that was very very old and worn where a child was buried well over a hundred years ago. Someone told me people have adopted that child's memory and I would often see fresh flowers placed there. It's so nice that you have so many animals living and active there. As far as my favorite creatures there, I have a fondness for those darling pumpkin people😊❤.

I have many types of birds that visit my garden and I always have food out for them. We used to get badgers passing through but I think they’ve moved on now as I haven’t seen them for a long time. I hear foxes and owls out in the fields but haven’t seen them. There are deer around and last autumn I saw two hedgehogs right outside my house, which I was so happy about! 💗

You both look adorable in your costumes!!! my family is not lucky enough to live next to a cemetery, but we do live in a wooded neighborhood. Some of the critters we see on a regular basis are very similar to yours: lots of deer, coyote, fox, hawks, bats, squirrels, chipmunks, possum, skunks, raccoons (even had one visit me in my garage looking for food) lots of birds, and we even get wild turkeys trotting down the street now and then! I love your commitment to conservation! We do have multiple bird feeders in our yard, a bat house and a Mason bee house. We also put out dried corn and veggies for the deer in the winter. I love all of my critters as much as you love yours! Lots of love and best wishes from Michigan!

Awe, that was amazing! I spent 5 years in the USA, back in the 90s and I remember all the Wildlife vividly. It was scary to me, since I am from Germany and we do not have a lot of dangerous animals running around here. :-) Our night time "wild life" in the backyard of Rose-Cottage, Adelberg Germany consists of cats mostly, but also frogs, come spring and hedgehawks in the fall. The hedgehawks are so funny, because they grunt like pigs when searching the ground for food. We also have mice, rats and minor, none poisonous snakes and of course bugs and insects of all sorts, but not dangerous, except maybe the common viper and the cross spider. Then there are martens and polecats. Of course we have foxes, deer and wild boars too, but they stay in the forest and usually do not enter back yards.

I so appreciate you encouraging people to act respectfully in graveyards. I love graveyards too. There was one dating from the American Civil War right next to my college, and I used to love to go there and study. I do not find graveyards creepy because they provide a chance to get in touch with history and our ancestors, and they are peaceful and close to nature.

Love the footage! Its so exciting you get to see the animals in your neighborhood. I think living next to a cemetery isnt scary. Its peaceful quiet and god and his creatures are there. We live in a small rural town in Ct. We are lucky enough to be able to see a variety of animals in the wild. We have had our squirrel and chipmunk friends who visit for peanuts. And because we feed the birds lots of critters looking for seed on the ground. In the winter we love to check out the footprints in the snow. We did have an unusual visitor once. It was a warm summer night and our windows were open. At 3 in the morning my daughter ran into our bedroom waking us up. She heard a strange noise and said a giant white animal was outside her window. She was scared to death. We looked but didn't see anything. We told her she was probably dreaming. She crawled into bed with us and we all settled down. The next day we saw our neighbors up the street and they said their llama was on the loose!

Loved this, that skunk at 15:58 was gorgeous, I have never seen so much white on one. One night I had one out my bedroom window so watched to see what it was up to, a bunny came hopping along and....yicks it's a skunk...it stopped dead made a very slow turn around and flew out of the yard, that was pretty funny. I'm on the shore in Maryland, so I have everything you had in the graveyard. The coyotes may have gotten that deer.

Why would a funny story about the rabbit and the skunk, so funny you were able to witness that🦨🐇 after we filmed we were looking up more things about coyotes and apparently they will hunt to your especially in the snow because they are faster than the deer in heavy snow 🦌🐺

Wow so many animals in the beautiful graveyard. In the UK we don't have a lot of those critters so it's interesting to see them.

Over the years I've captured the following: Deer, Possums, Armadillo, Rabbits, Road Runner...... (which eats the precious newborn bunnies. For days I didn't sleep and watched out for that RR on a baby cam day and night. I was obsessed)...... Fox (my FAVORITE, too!), skunk, dogs (a couple times), Bobcat (I think?), a rooster and hen. Also squirrels and birds of course. Since then, it's tapered off to mostly raccoons, rabbits, and 2 feral cats that live on our property. (We get a lot of big rigs and commuter traffic, unfortunately. If not for that one road, we live in the boonies basically). I love watching the raccoons while they're eating. They look so comical. I've actually seen them play with toys on someone else's trail cam before. I keep meaning to try that, too! (It was some little toy on a stretchy cord. They played with that thing like they were cats!) I hear coyotes pretty much every night, but I don't think I've ever captured one on our trail cams. Some nights I hear an owl or two, but I've never seen one in person or on the cams. ---------------- While house hunting years ago, we looked at an old 1900's house next to a cemetery. I loved the idea, but others... not so much. Lol! And speaking of other worlds, you should try Macrophotography. It's AMAZING and so much FUN!!!!

Hello friends, very interesting footage for sure. I'm living in the middle of the big city of Hamburg and we have a little garden behind the house between all of the buildings and because we and most of the neighbors are keeping the places close to nature there are a lot critters around. I thought about setting up a camera to see what's going on at night. After I watched your clip I think I will do it. You guys have a great weekend and stay safe 🐈🦌🐁🦔🦨🏡🌲🌳🌲

Hello Michael! So glad to hear you wanna get a nighttime camera too, we are currently looking to buy our own after this experience. It really made us feel closer to nature knowing what's going on out there when we are a sleep. :) Thanks for taking the time to write us about your home! It seems like a lovely place! :)

Interesting you saw one in the city, because we just saw some documentaries about them and they are more common than you think in the city, believe it or not! They seem to be good to keep still and just hide they said. Even in central park there might be some of them which sounds crazy!

I used to live by a cemetery and they were wonderful neighbors!! Loved seeing the footage and the reactions you had. The animals all look so healthy, which is good. Here in KY, where I live, there are raccoons (and yes they can stand up on their hind legs). I normally toss any leftovers where they will find them and if I am on the porch and one comes up he/she will stand on it's hind legs and look up me as if to say, "What do you have that is yummy tonight?" LOL They are so cute!! I saw two foxes here and one was so healthy but the other was terrible looking, so skinny - just skin over bones. Poor thing. Haven't seen them in awhile, but I work all the time, so hard to say! I love opossums and hope that they get some of the food from time to time. They love apples!! I see deer quite often (not right here) but all around the county. I love all the animals!! So wonderful you got this camera and can see what goes on at night!! Thank you for sharing!

I hate to break it to you but the coyotes are likely the reason the deer carcass is there. The fox and skunk would feed off it too. Actually it would have been interesting to have a trail cam at the carcass to see who does come visit. We live in the woods and see all critters small and big, from coyotes ,foxes , mink, to bears, fisher cats, moose. And so many squirrels and birds .

We live in a small south eastern tx town. It's in the country and we have outside cats that we feed...over the years we now have a possum family and a raccoon family that comes and eats the left over cat food. We see deer and rabbits as well. We have cardinals and blue jays that we keep a watch for. In the spring and summer we will have hummingbirds that we watch eat at their feeders. Loved your video... oh btw we also name our critters. You should write a book about the adventures of Tippy the chipmunk that would be super fun to read.

We had a stray tabby cat show up at our house we named Calico but haven’t seen her in a long time. She would sit on the front porch and always wanted to go in the house but would never eat what we offered. We now have a stray solid black cat hanging around we named Expresso. My brother in law once had a pet raccoon named Rachael he allowed to stay in doors and she would always steal shiny objects especially my sisters hairpins snd hide them! lol
