if its pain on the outside of your knee, look up it band treatment !! the it band is a ligament on the side of your upper leg and ends in the knee and can be very painful when under too much stress. you can do a few injury prevention exercises that wil help a LOT (at least they did for me)

Through this series I have started having a better mindset about working out and being active. I used to think of working out like a math formula that I had to follow otherwise im doing everything wrong. Now I just focus on being active in whatever way I can and I feel much better about it. All the best to you and Kelsey :) also I think if your knee keeps flaring, give it a good rest more than just a few days otherwise it'll come back to haunt you every time (personal experience...). I'd say try exercising and working out in other ways or even things like swimming which is more gentle on the joints but still getting cardio in. Take 2 weeks off like that and do some physiotherapy at the same time with painkillers and it'll probably get better slowly. It sucks when it gets in the way of training and you want to keep going but you have to take care of your body when it tells you it's too much. I also know people who praised joint supplements for cartilage and bone and said it made a big difference to their joint pains so maybe worth looking into?

Congratulations on putting a ring on it! I just wanted to tap in and ask to please be careful on the treadmill! I’m a collegiate runner myself and I’ve had my fair share of foot pain (planter fasciitis) and knee issues from running overtime. When I go on the treadmill, it only makes these issues worse for me personally and causes my flair-ups to pop in and say hey. I know youre probably aware that treadmills are hit or miss. and if it works for you then I guess energy really is everything. Personally, I just find that treadmills slow my healing process. Good luck with your training!

Keep up with rehab exercises for knee mobility, quad strength exercises (very important), and also wear a compression sleeve whenever you can. Should help hopefully. Hey Cody, there is this really great exercise for knee pain that i use. 3 sets of 10. so, you stand with your back against a wall and put your feet a bit out in front of you. then raise your foot while still keeping your heel on the ground. basically reverse heel raises, i completely forgot the name or else i would tell you but they work great for knee pain.
